With all the messages passing the word around, the DVD is being recalled. ZDNet ran an article on Wed. regarding this -

How, I don't know yet, but at least something's being done about it.

It'll probably be advertised at the stores, if not in the news. I didn't remember that there were games and stuff to download. I'd think that a lot of people would use the DVD to get those downloadables, so this is a very smart thing. I dunno why they didn't do this earlier. Didn't they bother to test their own product?

It's about time! When I buy a DVD, I expect it to be safe to use in both my player and my computer (if I ever decide to put a DVD-ROM drive in it).

The "clean" copies are supposed to be back out "in a few weeks" ...

I saw it at Suncoast video yesterday. Do you think they didn't send it back with the recalled ones? I didn't pick it up, not due to the virus, but because of the hefty twenty dollar price tag on it. But Suncoast is always over priced.

They sure are! So is Tower Records. I wanted to buy this one Christmas special on DVD. Target was sold out, so I tried Tower. They were charging $5 more! So, I found another place who has them (which shall remain nameless 'cuz it's kinda the enemy of WB =X) for the same price as Target and will stop by there Monday.

Here's a useless post: has anyone went to those new heavily-advertised FYE stores? Personally, those "Never Stop Playing!" commercials are grating on my nerves.

Curses! Now I'll have to wait until after Christmas to get this one - it was going to be a stocking stuffer for my boyfriend (who got ME watching PPG :)).
