I know the GC was a bunch of crap compared to the base series, but i have few questions. Did those guys that they were fighting against ...the "quarry men" or something like that, have anything to do with the hunter? Did that guys brother start them? Did Broadway and Angela get together? Did they ever bring back coldstone and his girlfriend? Did Fox ever display anymore power? What about ther son and Puck(Owen)? Did they ever continue Griff and King Arthur's story?

Did those guys that they were fighting against ...the "quarry men" or something like that, have anything to do with the hunter?

- I think they were meant to replace them as the human villains, but they were in no way connected.

Did that guys brother start them?

- Those guys were never even mentioned.

Did Broadway and Angela get together?

- Yes, but it was merely implied.

Did they ever bring back coldstone and his girlfriend?

- No

Did Fox ever display anymore power?

- No, but Titania did show up at one point

What about ther son and Puck(Owen)?

- Alexander and Owen were in the show, but Owen never showed any 'power', and was knocked unconscious in one episode. Alexander was the focus of one episode, but it had nothing to do with magic.

Did they ever continue Griff and King Arthur's story?

- No

It seems like such a waste of a series. What was the point of it if they didn't even try to tie up loose ends. They created such a mythos during the first season. They definitley should have covered the other gargoyles like griff and the japanse gargoyles. Did the hunter family even show themselves? The guy in the wheelchair, and his sister? What about demona? Did she even come close to not hating humans and actually realizing thaat she caused most of the problems that plague her?

Hey Tobias. Could you put the stuff regarding Owen, Alexander, and Puck in spoiler boxes? Thanks!:)

I believe only about 3 or so of the 13 episodes in the Goliath Chronicles actually build on the story. Though, memory doesn't serve me well.

What was the point of the Goliath Chronicles....it seems to be just fluff. What was the point of the series? What happened to the writers?

outside of "the Journey" TGC was and always will be the yardstick by which the decline of all popular shows will be measured, it's also why most gargoyles fans despise disney executives, especially you-know-who

Are you sure about this? I've heard that John Castaway was supposed to be an alias for Jon Canmore. Or is that just fanon?

I'm putting this in spoiler boxes, even though the series ended seven years ago. Makes no sense to me either.

1. The Owen-Puck thing goes nowhere. In fact, in "Ransom," Owen has a "concussion" and is in the hospital for the entire episode. Xanatos makes a subtle reference to how if Owen were awake, he could find the baby in a flash, assuming that Owen would change into Puck, as he is allowed to use his powers to protect Alexander. Kidnapping fits that rule. Also, Fox doesn't display anymore power in the series, but she get to face off against Jackal and Hyena in "Broadway Goes Hollywood."

2. Yes, John Castaway was supposed to be Jon Canmore. For the most part, though, that's a fandom thing. The series itself makes a very vague reference to it on the final episode. Goliath refers to an "ancient hatred," which probably is that of the Hunter, and Castaway admits to knowing that the Gargoyles would protect the people on the train, which means that he knew a lot more about gargoyles than he ever let on. His siblings John and Robyn, sadly, don't show up again.

3. Broadway and Angela hooked in "The Journey," right off their night together, so to speak, in "Possesion." Remember, Cold Stone and Cold Fire spent the night in their bodies before going back to the robot ones. The whole "Cold" clan does not appear in the Chronicles. This continues in "Runaways" to show Brooklyn's jealousy, and in "Broadway Goes Hollywood."

4. I'm betting Paul's link explains it, but Goliath Chronicles was only brought to Saturday morning to bring in male viewers from 6-14. That's all. Sure it was nice that some plot points were brought up, but for the most part, it wasn't necessary and everyone knew that going in. Any serious consideration in preserving the series would have meant that the original staff remained, along with the animation studios. I am surprised it got a third season at all, due to the ratings. It was a great show that few watched.

It's really sad when they mess up cartoons like the did the GC. The whole gargoyle mythos was so intriquet....does anyone remember when they did the same thing to conan the adventurer. The ended that series and made one with conan but w/o the snake men....it sucked.

Jon Canmore and John Castaway's identity is more than just fandom. Check this thread out from the Ask Greg forums (http://www.s8.org/cgi-bin/ag_read.cgi?Quarrymen), straight from the creator of the show himself.
