According to an article at Action-Figure.com a new MIB series is in the works for next fall. Below is an excerpt from the article:
Hasbro, in it's first association with the property, plans on producing a full line of Men in Black 2 toys, including feature plush, action figures and vehicles.
"We are extremely excited to work with Sony on Men in Black 2 and look forward to creating the ultimate in alien gadgets, action figures and vehicles," said Brian Goldner, president of Habro's U.S. Toys group.
Men in Black 2 is scheduled for release on July 3, 2002 and will expand to another animated series during Fall 2002.
Th animated series is expected to pick up where the sequel leaves off and will likely include most of the original crew behind the original highly acclaimed Men In Black: The Series series that aired on Kids'WB! from 1997 to 2001. It is unsure if the new series will follow the original animated series continuity or even feature the same designs and characters.
The show will likely either return to Kids'WB! or go to Cartoon Network, but nothing is known on that yet. Expect a formal announcement of the new animated series in early 2002 as production gears up.
