Fans of both Sentai/Power Rangers and Voltron got to finally here what one of the forces behind one of the franchises thinks of a one on one fight between the two teams.



Still, the burning question with many Voltron fans is simple: could the Power Rangers beat the Voltron Lion Team? "Since Power Rangers supposedly have enhanced ability, they would probably beat Voltron force in hand to hand combat, but when it comes to the robot mode, I think Voltron is a lot better equipped and quicker than those Power Ranger robots. Just draw the blazing sword and the rest is history [laughs]."

Mostly the only reason why I say Sentai is because Sentai started 9 years before Voltron.

Sentai since they've had multiple robots/zords since Flashman.

And Gaoranger/Wild Force had 100 Power Animals to choose from with multiple Zord formations.

And if anyone's seen any of the current Super Sentai Dekaranger, then you'd know DekaBaseRobo is probably the largest Robot yet. And combines with the others as well. Of course it won't be PRized til next year. As Space Patrol Delta or Power Rangers S.P.D.

granted that's when it's in solo robot form, but it's the tallest Zord ever...

Don't base the facts on the Mechas only guys, think about the Pilots' drive to win, IQ, etc.

I hate both of them with passion, but if I had to pick between one to save my life then I would choose Voltron.

One of the eternal debates rages on :).

From what I've seen of Voltron, the Lions are pretty much indestructable. On the other side, the rangers megazords get destroyed (or heavily damaged) every season. So winning point goes to the Voltron Force.

But there are other factors to consider. Has Voltron ever fought on land? I can only recall it fighting in space. Whereas the rangers usually fight their battles on land (and only a select few megazords were equipped to fight in space).

Then there is the experience of the pilots. The V-force has been a solid unit for who knows how many years, while most ranger teams are just plopped into the cockpits and know how to drive or control the zord. Their personal teamwork has always been lacking.

Well the DekaBaseRobo's only been in one episode I've seen on BT so far. It starts out as the Dekaranger Police Headquarters building. Which is four stories. I couldn't really tell how tall it got when it transformed.

I'd forgotten about Pyramidus myself so you might be right.
