So, what'd you guys think of it?
I found it entertaining. I liked the Andorians, but the Vulcan's...somthing was just wrong...they weren't as "stiff" as they used to be. They even made ya laugh ("How do you tolerate the smell?") for cryin' out loud!
Ah well, all plot holes aside..I liked it.

Yea, I really like it too. It is very refreshing seeing star trek get the well-deserved shot in the arm. I hope they keep up with all the new aliens. Plus I notice myself seeing if they are fitting it in the mythology. I mean this is the beginning so all the myth we know started here and its great that everything is making so much sense. YEA to the writers and creators. TREK LIVES AGAIN!!

I thought Ep #7 was very well done. For once, I wasn't really sure what the outcome would be. The ending surprised me a bit, right when I was cursing those mean 'ol Andorians. Oh, and did anyone notice who the main Andorian was played by? (Hint: he's a DS9 alum who was also on Voyager)

Haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm guessing Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun)?

they are really putting Vulcans in a bad light with these episodes.

I've missed the last couple episodes, but that did seem to be the case in first episodes of the season. I hope the writers have a plan for the vulcans instead of just creating conflict for the sake of conflict.

"The Andorian Incident" is my favorite episode of Enterprise so far.

The Andorians aren't really new, they just haven't been seen on Star Trek since TOS back in the 60s.
I just watched the episode this afternoon (I had to tape it since I was out of town) and I think the episode was very well done. I was glad the Captain wasn't too quick to take sides in the conflict. This is an instance where not following the prime directive paid off. But they do seem to have inserted a possible plot thread that we could see return in the future, that of the Andorian/Vulcan war. And how the Vulcans will respond to hewmons will be interesting, if they respond at all. Hewmons are in debt to the Andorians, but where does that leave them with the Vulcans?

The Andorians also appeared in Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home. Wasn't it cool how they made their antennas move around a lot? They never did it in the original series because they didn't have the technology.

I kind of like the epsiode, but there were a few things wrong with it.
Like why did Archer give the Andorians the proof of the Vulcans breaking the treaty?
And why did Archer get beat up so much why not beat up the Vulcans?
Also I have a feeling that this Vulcan/Andorian thing is going to come back and haunt them.
Call me Kane.

Archer, IMO, gave the Andorians what they wanted because he wanted to save his own butt from the fire. He had no lofty aspiratons to follow any kind of Prime Directive. I think he made a horrible mistake in this episode that will come back to haunt him. It may be that this is one of the situations that will ultimately make the formation of the Prime Directive a necessity.
Archer got beat up more because it added more tension to the show. I think it was just a plot device. Also, I think the Andorians sensed he may have been more of a threat than the "peaceful" Vulcans. And maybe another reason Archer did what he did in the end was to provoke the Vulcans to take a stand and to not be so sneaky. Either way, it was clear Archer wasn't taking sides in the conflict, but had his own interest at mind.
