Can Cartoon Network return to showing forgotten (but good) shows after midnight. Cartoon Network has been really messing itself up with these really stupid AS originals. Sad part is, none of it is really worth watching. At least before 2000 it was showing mostly good shows ALL day. After all, in about half a year, they'll make that worthless block a Friday night event right after Fridays ends. All of it's anime isn't that wonderful either. Get rid of AS.

It gets great ratings with adults.

Therefore, it won't leave.

I don't think getting rid of Adult Swim is the answer. While I do think there is a lot of waste on Cartoon Network's schedule, Adult Swim is not the main problem. There is an audience for the stuff Adult Swim airs and it provides some much needed diversity for the network (especially in regards to programming aimed at adults). I do think that the second run of Adult Swim on the same night is unnecessary. In fact that speaks to the main problem with CN is the scheduling of unnecessary reruns and the overreliance on certain shows while other shows are pushed out of the schedule. While some shows are undoubtably popular is it really necessary to have both a 6:30 PM and 10:00 PM run of Teen Titans -- a series of which only 22 episodes have aired -- each weeknight (and I'm speaking as a fan of the series)? The real problem with CN is redundancy, not blocks like Adult Swim.

Just because you're not crazy about something doesn't mean there is not an audience for it. That's something that a lot of people in online communities need to learn.

I enjoy lots of Adult Swim shows, and so do many other people, so that pretty much kills your argument that the shows "aren't worth watching". I mean, that's your opinion and you're entitled to it, but as far as Cartoon Network and any other TV network is concerned, the opinions of the many outweigh the opinions of the few... or the one.

I agree with you 100% Mister Intensity. CN could have alot more shows on the Network, But popular shows like Ed, Edd, and Eddy and Teen Titans(Which I like) are played 2 to 3 times a day. I mean reruns are good in all, but this is overkill. As for Adult Swim, it's not leaving anytime soon. It could be better, but I can't complain.

The bottom line is, AS gets great ratings in the adult crowd. So taking it off wouldn't be the solution. The scheduling that CN has constantly has redundency. Shows like Powerpuff Girls, Dexter, and others shouldn't have two, or three airings a day. They should only have one. That way, CN can cram more different shows on the schedule. As the others have said, redundency is the thing that CN should stop doing. Not an Adult block that gets excellent ratings.

Yeah, I guess you guys are right. I'm just not that big a fan. Some other kids' channels like Nick are doing the same think at late night, so I guess it would make sense to keep it going if it's that popular.

I'm like 12, and I still like adult swim. The problem is that they show family guy at the same time as the simpsons. That gives you a very tough decision. Of course I choose the simpsons. but I would love to see family guy.:bugs1:

Anyway, it's good that they have futurama on at least ONE channel

and the other shows aren't that good.

It shouldn't end at 2 PM.

And chances are that the person who started this thread is a child, who just wants more shows on CN. No offense to you.

SO anyone who doesn't like adult swim, just turn to comedy central. That should make you happy. And if it doesn't enjoy some sitcoms on nick at night:moon2:

12? You're not supposed to register until you're 13...

Okay, well I'm turning 13 in like 2 or 3 months, okay... it's really not that big a deal

Unfortunately, it is.

This thread doesn't give me a good vibe, and it didn't when I first read it. I think I'm going to trust my judgement and close it.
