thats what www.comicworldnews.com (http://www.comicworldnews.com) is reporting.
They've fired all except some administrative skeletal crew.
It had to happen eventually.

just as mister omniman was about to kill the heart of evil at the world's beginning so some of his world's present evils, like super villians and telemarketers , would be auto-aborted at birth because they would only bring pain into the world.. and omniman would never have to be born to fight evil, but could have been borne instead a sweet unsuperpowered little girl as he had dreams of being all his life instead ... as destiny freak showed him in the prior issue as to how to defeat evil for good in his world.... the whole company goes bankrupt.
shame. i hear it was going to be one heck of a final issue as the company was going into teen schoolgirl anime comics next month.
wait...
what dimension is this again?
Okay, this sucks. CG owes a lot of creditors (estimated between 200 and 999) $3,404.996.18, according to CG's Chapter 11 protection filing. (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=14498) Hopefully, filing for Ch.11 will allow CG to restructure its financial structure and pay off those creditors. It is time for CG to learn from its mistakes and hopefully get out of this, much like what K-Mart did/is doing. One thing is for sure: don't expect a lot of issues/trades/projects coming out for the next several months.

I just hope the working guys who are owed their paychecks finally get them. It is sad to see them fold up though...I honestly don't think they will come though at the other side again. They might sell off a couple of the ideas to try and recover some cash but I don't expect to see another Crossgen book on the shelves again. I really do wish that Sojourn got the finish it deserved though...

I'm guessing this means we won't be seeing the next issue of Abadazad for a while.
