Remember what happened last week? Good. This episode continues that story. Plus, Kikyo makes an appearance.

Yoink, first post. This was a good epsoide. New ending. Looks like a confusing next epsoide but whatever. Its doing good so far but how long are they going to have the old lady with the scars on her eyes.

This episode was a bit slow and somewhat predictable. I hope next week's will be better.

New closing theme! I like the first image of Inu-Yasha riding on the back of Kagome's bike.

Not bad. Didn't really care for it either though. Interesting backstory between Kikyo and Tsubaki and I kinda want to see what happens next week, but I was left a bit bored tonight.

Grade: C

the first episode I've seen in three weeks and already we've got another villain I can't wait to see die a horrible death, while I can't wait for Naraku to meet the business end of the bakuryuuha technique seeing Tsubaki end up an eviscerated carcass would certainly help assuage this rampant otaku bloodlust of mine (either that or our favorite-half demon learns the art of hokuto no ken)

Not my favorite episode, but next weeks looks very good.

I give it a C-

Pretty okay eppy to me. In all honesty Wolfs Rain was much more entertaining than this tonight. Hopefully we can get some good action on next weeks eppy. I love the new ending!!! It roxors!!That was probably the highlight of this whole eppy tonight. And is it me or did that ending seem pretty long?

Yeah, there wasn't much to talk about in tonight's episode, but it was okay. It was interesting enough to keep glued to the TV. We're just building some drama here for the rest of the battle... which may be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it.

Ending #4. I was wondering when it would debut. Well, at least it's a little more upbeat than the last one... still, I think I'll tire of this one quickly too, and wait for an ending theme that'll be a whole lot more entertaining.

It's Saturday, all the Inu-yasha people are probably out drinking till ugly chicks look like Kagome.

Is it just me, or do the endings get worse and worse? I really liked the first ending, My Will was a great song, and I loved the visuals. Fukai Mori was a good song, and I liked the Sheshomaru visuals. the third ending was okay, but dissapointing compared to the first two. And I really didn't care for the fourth ending at all. Maybe it'll grow on me.

This was a pretty good episode of Inuyasha, which focus on Kikyo's and Tsubaki's past. The new closing theme is pretty good, because I like how the use of animation during the creidts. I can say I can't wait until next week with those two girl priestess, and there 16 ft tall Inuyasha, and Kagome paper clones.

That new ending stinks. The ending of the ending (did that make any sense?) reminded me too much of FFX.

I have to agree about the new ending stinking, last ending wasn't good either IMO.

I still don't see as to why this plot should drag out for 5 episodes. 2 episodes at the max. Still this is really tedious for me watching this drag on. I'm hoping next week's episode will turn out better than today's.

1. Hmmm... I don't remember... did the ED theme usually go before the next ep preview?

2. For some reason, that Dark Priestess sounds like Ranma-chan.
Talking about Ranma....

Just like with Ranma 1/2, a Rumiko Takahashi anime starts to drag and repeat plots in the middle while hardly advancing anything. That's when people stop talking for awhile.

I was really confused about the arrow for a while, until they finally said that she missed him.

The new ending song is like a rehash of the past two.

This is pretty early in an Inuyasha Talkback for me, what happened to everyboy? Well, at least I didn't have to read as many posts. As for the ending, My favorite is still the second, but at least this one is better than the last one.

The episode was actually pretty interesting for me. I don't mind it going three episodes, although that does seem over kill. Is it just me or has been a while since Inuyasha had a good ol' fight without all thease wierd things going on? Doesn't everyone love the way Inuyasha says priestess? Or the way He says Tenseiga? Rreally hope this concludes nexy week. B+

WAAA!!! I missed this weeks inu cause I was playing magic online and I didn't notice what time it was! Can someone tell me what's going on next week? I did catch Wolf's Rein and it was good! Although I think that dressing up the flower maiden in bright frikin pink doesn't go over very well in the camo area.

Nice ep...:) I was wondering when Kikyo would be showing up again. Ahh... why can't Kikyo be good? It makes me sad watching her be all sad. I wish there were two Inuyasha's. I think they both deserve Inuyasha but only one gets him. I was surprised when the ending theme wasn't in English. Oh well... "Kikyo and the Dark Priestess" gets an A.

Kikyo reveals to Tsubaki that she still has feelings for Inu Yasha. If Tsubaki hurts Inuyasha, Kikyo will gladly kill her. Tsubaki ignores Kikyo's threats and insteads toys with Inu Yasha. He can't draw his sword to fight her monstrous demon (http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/images/Inu%20Yasha/1050.jpg) or she will kill Kagome with her curse.

Not much happened during this episode. It's pretty much a rehash of what happened to Inu Yasha and Kikyo and we learn alittle more about Tsubaki.

Although I give dog boy some credit, he did not run from Kagome when she had that arrow aimed at him.

Various screencap can be found here. (http://home.hawaii.rr.com/wizardgrey/Inu%20Yasha.htm)

Bah, that would be no fun. :D I like her character a lot because she, at first, was fueled with pure hatred towards Inu Yasha and wanted him dead. Now she realizes what had happened and that she is no longer bound by her duties as a Priestess, so she is free to choose whatever she wants be it for good or for evil.

This was a buildup to the next episode but still was enjoyable. I like seeing backstory in episodes now and again. I discover more about the characters and what makes them tick.

Neither the Inu or Wolf's Rain episodes got much comment, so it'll probably be another crappy week in the ratings for both shows. Pity. (^_*)

i got the feeling that Kikyo doesn't exactly still care for InuYasha but merely wants to cause pain to him herself.

i have a weird thought during that episode that the only part of Kagome's soul that got into Kikyo's fake body was the hatred for Inuyasha?......yeah,probably not but it's fun to wonder....s...sometimes...maybe.

Tsubaki and Naraku look over the Shikon no Tama, blackened from corruption, with delight as Kagome’s arrow remains drawn at Inuyasha (see episode 60). Kikyo enters Tsubaki’s barrier (see episode 60) as Sango and Miroku look on, still unable to penetrate the barrier. Kagome once again orders Inuyasha to escape (see episode 60), Inuyasha refuses and charges towards Kagome. Suddenly, Kagome fires her arrow at Inuyasha. Naraku is pleased, however he soon falls to pieces as Kikyo shoots him, revealing that it was just a puppet (see episode 25). Tsubaki is shocked to see that Kikyo is there. Elsewhere, Inuyasha (who wasn’t shot by Kagome’s arrow) cradles the collapsed Kagome, who has regained her senses because Tsubaki is know distracted by Kikyo’s appearance. Inuyasha and Kagome rush of to find Tsubaki. Tsubaki, thinks back to her failed attempt to steal the Shikon no Tama from Kikyo, who’s heart was distracted by her love for Inuyasha, in order to make her beauty everlasting. After Kikyo reflected Tsubaki’s Shikigami back at her, Tsubaki was angered by the scar it made and she sold her soul to a demon to prolong her beauty eternally. Tsubaki criticizes Kikyo for appearing in front of her unchanged, Tsubaki soon realizes that Kikyo is dead. Inuyasha and Kagome make it to Tsubaki’s barrier, where Miroku and Sango are, Kagome breaks it with her arrow. Tsubaki is surprised to see that Kagome missed, again, and let Inuyasha live.

Angered by this, Kikyo fires warning shots at Tsubaki. Kikyo then grabs a chunk of Tsubaki’s hair and pulls at it, Kikyo tells Tsubaki that while she doesn’t care about what she does to Kagome but if she does anything to Inuyasha, she will her. With that, Kikyo disappears. Inuyasha and the others arrive at Tsubaki’s shrine are greeted by Tsubaki and her Shikigami. Miroku and Sango ask Tsubaki where Kikyo went, which shocks Inuyasha. Tsubaki explains that she was there about Inuyasha. Inuyasha puts Kagome down and charges at Tsubaki, as he is about unsheathe Tetsusaiga, Tsubaki pulls out the blackened Shikon no Tama and tells him that if he draws that sword she’ll have to kill Kagome, who is still under her curse and is only mobile due to Kikyo’s distraction. Inuyasha is disgusted by such deplorable tactics. Tsubaki releases a three tailed demon to attack Inuyasha and warns him that if he draws Tetsusaiga she’ll kill Kagome!

I guess her "evilness" is what makes her such an interesting character.

A somewhat entertaining, somewhat interesting episode of Inuyasha it was. We see this multi-episode arc continue, but the way they're dragging it along, it doesn't seem like it needs to be as many episodes as they're doing for it.

So Inuyasha runs to Kagome, Kagome misses and falls on Inuyasha who holds her and they make their way to the temple where the Dark Priestess is. Meanwhile the Dark Priestess is distracted by the arrival of Kikyo who threatens Tsubaki to stay away from Inuyasha, but doesn't care what she does to Kagome. Insert flashback of Tsubaki and Kikyo from the past.. Kagome's arrow penetrates the barrier and the gang confront Tsubaki, but as Inuyasha goes for his sword, Tsubaki reveals the darkened Shikon Jewel and threatens to kill Kagome should he unsheath his sword. Tsubaki then unleashes a demon that Inuyasha must somehow beat without his sword.. So I'm thinking, perhaps we will see Demon Inuyasha again??

I give "Kikyo and the Dark Priestess" a B-.

I guess I can it was sort of funny when Kikyo said that she can kill Kagome but not Inuyasha , I was like heartless ain't it?!:) But after that there is nothing else to say about this episode. I'll give it a three out of five.:(

Talking about Ranma....
Actually, the va for Inuyasha is the same VA for Ranma in seasons 4-7 of Ranma 1/2 .

I said Ranma-chan = onna-Ranma = girl-type = pigtailed girl. :p

Everybody knows Richard Cox plays both Ranma-kun (seasons 4+) and Inuyasha. In fact, read about how he got it on A Fan's View report (http://www.fansview.com/2004/animenext/061804a.htm), along with photos of him and Moneca Stori (VA for Kagome). :)

Her more adult voice, maybe? I'm just guessing.

Yeah, I have that feeling too.
Kikyo now has the free will to choose her destiny. Like a Catholic schoolgirl growing up, she's now rebelling against the very disciplines that constrained her.

BTW, at first I thought that dark priestess' demon's power was a projection of what Inuyasha fears most - his brother Sesshy. Too bad it only turned out to be just another dog demon.

Finally...the return of non-filler Inuyasha episodes! Not a big fan of "Every Heart" though...why can't there be more Fukai Mori or Shinjitsu no Uta (5th ending)?
