Do you think if the series has a good run they'll try that best of crap? They better not, they'll have to deal with me and another petition of fans breathing done their neck!
Oh just another thought, arent you guys suprised Samurai Jack hasn't been announced for DVD? I mean its one of CN's most popular current series...

Samurai Jack IS coming out on DVD. I can't recall when, but Cartoon Network will be putting out the pilot episode soon, with more to follow. I don't know if they have decided yet to do season sets or "best of"s like the PPG DVDs, but it will come soon.

The Samauri Jack creators want the series to be put out in season formats. I know that WB will release the pilot as a movie, but I'm not sure about subsequent episodes. I'd like to see a season format...

Man, the show isn't even on television yet, and we're already discussing the DVD format for it.
The "best of" format might actually work here because each "episode" is actually two or three together--about the same length as a movie. Add some extras and a letterbox or pan-and-scan feature and you're done.

The only downside is that Canadians w/o satellite tv will have to wait until the end of the season to see what JL is all about aside reading reviews.
I've head the pilot will be out on vhs/dvd which is good news.
I for one hope WB does DVD companions for a majority of the highly ranked shows animated or otherwise. It will help cut down my vhs tape collection.

WB better do a JL DVD... heheh...
They could have six episodes per disc and I know there's at least a good seven episodes made, right? And I expect to see a good 20+ episodes immedately, yeah, releasing them on DVD would be a great thing. Just have to keep the storylines together and unbroken, aka have like the first two storylines, which takes up the first five episodes, I believe, should be on the first DVD disc. Or if they only want 3 or 4 episodes per disc, they should make sure to add a bunch of extras, which could include stats info on the characters, original artwork they wouldn't see on CN, and stuf like that. Maybe even a hidden mini game that can be played in DVD drives in computers, like the D&D dvd I have says is has (I just bought an APEX DVD drive and got two movies.)

Yeah! WHy not release the series at 2 or 3 arcs at a time, depending how long the arcs are? I think that's a real good idea. I predict they'll make the pilot a movie (The Justice League Movie) and the season finale between the Injustice Gang a movie also. Just guesses, though.

If they put out story arcs on a DVD, ala Roughnecks, should they edit the episodes to make them one long movie or keep the episodes separate? If you lose nothing, I wouldn't see anything wrong with making them one long movie.

I think they could easily do it. They did it to the three Suoerman episodes LAST SON OF KRYPTON and WORLD'S FINEST and they did a real good job there. They could easily make "movies" out of the arc. And, for two part episodes, they could put 2 two part episodes to disc.
