Rumor has it the original trailer, and poster, will be either extras or easter eggs on the DVD. There should be an image of the original poster online somewheres. I'll try and dig it up...

Like this movie needs advertising! I can't remember a movie, outside (ugh) Star Wars that has been hyped so much and there's stil about 175 or so more days until release...

Eh, I like the original one-sheet better than the new one. On the new one it painfully obvious that the actor is just sprawled out on a table-top. There's no sense of height. At least the original one sheet has some interesting use of perspective.

I'm with Maxie on this one - that poster is waaaaaay too close to the old Adam West 'Batman and Robin walk up the side of a building' shot for me to take seriously... Sorry

The new poster looks like a cover for a comic book. If that's the direction they wanted to go, they succeeded.

The movie poster is okay. Not great but it instantly tells the movie goers what this movie will be about...

Thank God. The original poster was way cooler than the new one, and I liked the original trailer. I'm glad that someone at that studio is using their head.

I didn't realize that when Spidey crawls walls that he drags his crotch like my dog does on my carpet. Does his crotch help him stick to walls better? Look at it again, if you don't know what I'm talking about. I've gotta go with Maxie on this one!

You think he's be a bit more spaced from the wall, ya know? If he's really climbing, would be be dragging himself up?

Maybe he's making lewd gestures at a woman inside the office building.

Well you do realize in the comics and cartoon Spidey holds his weight entirely on his toes and fingers right? that's practicall impossible in real life.

For us maybe, but not for the spider!

Yeah, could be!;)

Ya know, if I cut some of that out it might make a nifty avatar.... Anyway! He should have at least been trying to look like he wasn't laying on a table like, what I see as, a super model or something. Oh strike a pose baby.
It was a great idea for a shot though, so I still like it. The shot's idea is a lot like the PSX, DC, etc Spiderman game, as said above.

I really like the idea of the poster, but it's just lacking a bat in execution.

I was hoping someone would notice that. I meant to say bit, but when I saw the mistake I just left it. I'm not sure why, but I thought it was a nice possible homage to 1989's BATMAN.
I found this poster of spidey climbing up a wall and I must say compared to the live one and his Crotch-Crawling (hmm maybe it's a new dicipline in wall climbing*g*)...it looks much better...

...but then again...this is a drawn picture...
[edit] I wonder why the big picture didn't show up...anyway,

oh! now it did show up.. :D

He should've been arched out more for sure. He's just plastered against the window. Then again - he could be scare dout of him mind behind that mask and clinging for dear life.

He doesn't look scared to me in that poster.

First off, I was joking. Second - he has a mask on. How can you not tell he crying under his mask. His mask would show his facial expression like in the comics so who knows what he's thinkin' under there....

I hate to bring back such an old topic, but I'm not doing to boost up my post count or flood the boards. I wasn't here when this topic cam eup, and I was very intrgigued by it when I was going through the old posts. I also found an accompany poll for it here:

I a just curious what some people thing about Sony's decision to change the poster, and should we see this material when the DVD is released later in 2002.
