I think it would be kind of cool if in the future when Lex and Clark are older. That Lex is friends with Clark, but hates Superman. It would make for a lot of headaches for Clark.
Also, it would be neat if they had cameos by other heroes before they became the superheroes. For example a young brooding kid from Gotham who is travelling through Smallville.

I've got to wonder, in the future, when Superman in tights does show. How is Lex not going to realize that Clark and Superman aren't the same people? Unless Lex is either a complete idiot or Superman can shape shift I dont think that's possible.
BW cameo would be cool. I read somewhere that the writers wanted to have a bunch of inside joke type things, and they might either mention BW by name or have a quick cameo. That would be cool. Actually what would be cooler is a BW show. Now that would be great.

If they don't want to have BW go to Smallville. Maybe Clark can go to Gotham City. We already know that he goes to Metropolis in a later episode. He could go as part of a school trip and runs into him there.

Do you think if they started a BW show would they do crossovers?

That's what I've been thinking. Given the interaction we've already seen and the interaction we'll continue to see between Lex and Clark, there's no doubt that when Clark becomes Superman, Lex will know it's him. It can't be any other way. And I think that's great. It'll make all the Superman/Luthor conflicts so much more personal and meaningful. The storytelling potential would be greater than that of the official comics.

I think that if they play it where Lex knows Superman's identity, it will add to the dynamic between hero and villian in a way that having Lex like Clark but hate Superman wouldn't accomplish. The best villians are the ones who are always closest to the hero, and know secrets about the hero.

Yeah, you're right. Do you think we'll eventually see this? Have those involved with the series said anything about how far they'll be going with the show?

Now that I think about it....... Everyone will know the true identity of Superman. If Clark Kent doesn't wear glasses, then Superman and Clark Kent will look identical. Except for maybe his hair might be a little different. Or............ GASP
maybe Superman wears glasses!!!

I posted this in the
Getting Powers from Kryptonite thread ,
But I think its a cool direction for Smallville.
Im curious about feedback ...anyone agree?
* * *
Heres what I recommend the Producers / Writers do on
Smallville.
First off ...
Obtaining powers from kryptonite should be a slow gradual process due to constant exposure.
Not a result of stumbling on a green glowing rock.
It should be that it affects young people going through
puberty. Young peoples bodies are going through drastic
changes during puberty and the kryptonic exposure alters the
bodies natural progression.
This would make more sense as it would explain why
all of a sudden all of Clarks classmates are developing powers.
Secondly .. (is there such a word?)
I have an interesting idea for a continuing villan.
A secret govt agency coming to Smallville to gather
both Kryptonite and the children altered by the
radiation.
(hey if your gonna steal from x-files - steal the good stuff).
This would be interesting because the townspeople start
realizing that the govt coming in and taking their children ..
snooping around ...gathering kryptonite.
Would be interesting to see Clarks father ..urge Clark to
be even more discreet ..to not use his powers at all.
Clarks mom constantly paranoid that they agency is gonna
find out about Clark.
Clark fighting the desire to help others with his powers ..
risking exposing himself. Clark begins to come up with the
idea that if hes gonna help people he might need a secret
identity .
Third ...
Lex. Young Lex realizes that Kryptonite is important and that
if the govt wants it so much it may be profitable.
In a way Lex becomes Clarks biggest ally in that Lex is working
against the Shadow Govt agency ..to beat them to Kryptonites
secrets.
However the rift between Clark and Lex begins to grow as
Lex's tactict become more aggressive and questionable.
Plus Clark now worries that if the Govt doesnt uncover his
secret Lex will .
Fourth ..
Lana.
Perhaps lana begins to develop a fear of these ..
dare I say 'human mutations' forming a issue for Clark
because as Lana and Clark become closer he fears should
she discover his secret she would no longer be with him.
And finally keep the sexual tension and the Dawsons Creek
vibe throughout and youd have a kick ass show I think.
Anyone else agree this would be the best way to take the series?
