Got to here a snippet of Supermans voice in the trailer last night.
Its very very different from Tim Daly *but* to me he doesnt sound young so much as....optimistic.
Basically theres a certain excitement in his voice that makes you *want* to follow this guy into battle.
I grant fully that nobody can touch Tim Dalt when it comes to voicing Superman, but I think the new guy is gonna work out.
Just a first impression

Daly will certainly be missed, but you'll get used to the new guy. Trust me. ;)

To me, Daly is Superman, but I know I'll get used to Neubeurn no problem. He's a talented actor and this is his first acting job so it may take him a bit to slide into the role.

Isn't the JL Superman voiced by the guy that did the JLU Superman in Batman Beyond? Seems like it...

The voice actor for the Batman Beyond version of Superman was Christopher McDonald (of Happy Gilmore, Family Law, The Iron Giant fame). The Justice League version of Superman is voiced by George Neubeurn (of Bull, The Adventures in Baby-Sitting fame). And welcome to the boards, The Guard!

I know several people have said this before, but when I read the Superman comics, it's Tim Daly's voice that I hear in my head coming out of Superman's mouth. It will be weird having someone else do his voice. BUT, I am really, really, really glad that we still have Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Clancy Brown sticking around as Batsy, Joker, and Lex, respectively. I only hope that any other old faces that pop up (Darkseid, Lois, Robin, etc) retain the voices that we have all come to know and love.

I know that Dick Grayson Robin from BTAS did the voice of Flash in the STAS episode Speed Demons. I think his name is Leron Lester. Anywho I was kinda bummed that they didn't decide to keep him as the Flash. I thought he was pretty good.

Michael Rosenbaum does a great Flash.
As for Newburn: In his relaxed moments, his Superman sounds a lot like Daly's, and you can see why they cast him as the replacement. It's when he gets excited that the change is most noticeable.

I noticed that he does sound a lot like Daly in the closing sequences.
And I'll have to concur with Michael Rosenbaum's Flash... he may be a one-liner machine, but so far he's a darn good one-liner machine.

Glad to hear Flash's voice is being well-handled. I had doubts about Rosenbaum after watching Smallville, but I'm glad to ehar he's good.

Well, remember that Rosenbaum is a semi-regular. He was Terminal in "Hidden Agenda," Ollie in "Where's Terry?" and Ghoul in ROTJ.

Well, this way there won't be a conflict if Nightwing makes an appearance.

Really? I didn't know that. If he's been all those characters, and now the Flash, he's gotta be a talented voice actor. Ghoul was one of my fave voice jobs in ROTJ.

Actually, the person that voiced the Flash in the Superman episode "Speed Demons" was Charlie Schlatter. He's done some other voice over work here and there, but he is mostly a character actor (he played Ferris Bueller in the very short-lived Ferris Bueller TV show).
And I must agree that Michael Rosenbaum's "Christopher Walken" turn as Ghoul in ROTJ was a riot.

Hey the guy doing Flash's voice in JL also plays Lex Luthor on Smalliville. I think. I'm pretty sure, but there is always room for error. Except for Batman. That gets on my nerves sometime, but I won't get started.

I think the voice will work out just from what little I've heard.
Its a shame they couldn't get Tim Daly, this guy was able to bring the character to life for me in such a way that had only been done by Christopher Reeve before him. *but* I think his new voice can work.
In Superman TAS he was a lone defender and he would only say what needed to be said. No more no less. Kind of like a more rounded version of the Golden Age Superman in conversation.
However, for the JL he's in the position of leader which is something that the character would need to be speaking alot more for. Doubtless giving inspiring words or speeches.
I dont mean that as cheesy as it sounds. I just mean it in the sense of a guy who everyone looks up to being reguarly called upon to rally the spirits and divergent personalities of the group he leads. I mean thats a big part of what leaders do.
In this the TAS Superman becomes a bit like the Pre-Crisis Superman. When this guy speaks, people can't help but be inspired. Even the grim Batman finds his spirit lifted, though Bruce will be damned if he'll admit it to anyone. ;)
So in a sense, I think the JL voice works with this tweak of the TAS version of the character.
At the end of the trailer I think he says something to the effect of "..working together for the cause of justice."
Something about the enthusiasm in the voice made me want to jump up and follow the guy anywhere.
It may be a different voice, but in the spirit that matters its *still* Clark.
Granted, it may be early to tell based just on what I've seen, but I have a good feeling about it. TAS has never really let me down before which is ***alot*** more than I can say for the people who handle the mainline comics. Jeez, with all the pretenious ramblings currently going on this show may be the last time we see any of these characters in costume and acting like themselves ever.
