hoy! Thought I should submit something instead of just lurking around.

'Tis my weirdo cat character, Bete. She's a freak. The idea for her came from wanting some kind of little mascot, and my interest in cute things that like to destroy stuff/wreak havoc.
I was going to put a squirrel to the side, but I forgot. Heh.
I'm working on my inking, so any tips or suggestions in that department would be appreciated.
The axe's name is Jehoshephat!

Ooooh, she's so cute, can I take her home?! :D

eheh.. sure, good luck though.
Ohhh I like the look of your freaky cat character no end, anyone who uses an axe to crack an acorn is okay by by book :D
Seriously though its a great design you have there for Bete. Welcome to the Drawing Board, Psycho Fish its great that you've chosen to lurk no more.

LOL!
That is very cute, psycho_fish! I especially like the rendering behind it and the line work. Strong contrast as well.
Good work :)

Thanks for the comments!
Here's (http://shadowcry.net/sketch/archives/00000068.htm#comments) another one-- this time colored with gouache. Still need practice with the stuff, heh. I don't paint a whole lot, but I heard that cartoonists use it for its solid colors so I commited myself to learning how to use it.
Anyway, the hair color is tentative; I'm still not sure if I want it blonde(tried it once and it reminded me too much of Britney Spears with the schoolgirl uniform for my tastes), brown, red, or something else entirely.
I've bored you enough.

Oooo, what a nice...psycho squirrel (drawn by a psycho fish, no less). I like the linework, it's very crisp. Cute and deadly at the same time. :)

Heh! She's a cat, actually.
I'm no expert on the gouche but it looks pretty good to me, solid colour blocks and nice overall choice of colours. I actually think it was a good choice not to go with the blonde myself, lthe darker look is more in keeping with Bete's character as despite the axe blonde does make you think 'fluffy' ... well it makes me think that anyway but there again what do I know :D I'll shut up now

How keeeeewwwt!!! X3 I luff her, I just want to steal her and keep her as a pet XD I'd have to find how to lure her away from that axe, though...

That's kind of what I'm going for. I have this picture in my head of Bete.. she's brushing dolls' hair and arranging them on her bed, playing house in her room with the light purple bedspread and pink curtains.. when suddenly she reveals her axe and begins hacking away at Barbie's head.

Mr. Fish, where do I get a weblog like yours? It's exactly what I've been looking for...

She kind of reminds me of Scary Miss Mary. Stunning similarity.

I like the first one the best. The contrast of white and black makes it look stunningly professional. The colour pic is cool, but for me, the black and white appears to be a more stronger image. Nice linework too!

Well, firstly, I'm of the female kind. :3
Secondly, it's not really my weblog, I'm just a member.
Thirdly, I believe you can get them here (http://noahgrey.com/greysoft/).
Who is this Scary Miss Mary?

Who is this Scary Miss Mary?Okay, I went to the site. Did you have as much trouble setting this thing up as I'm having right now? I don't think I'm going to be able to do it....

Well like I said, it's not "my" weblog. My friend set it up, and I'm just a member. Sorry, I'd like to be able to help you, but I can't.
