Any soul out there ever cast their eyes on John Wilson's extra-long melancholy musical cartoon short "Petroushka "??? It's notable for several reasons... Amongst them, it features an original score composed, arranged, and conducted by Igor Stravinsky... And even more notable to us are the folks who animated on it... Amongst others are ART DAVIS , Phil Monroe, Ken Champin, Bill Littlejohn, Tony Pabian. Tis an interesting little goober... Ya might check it out some time!

How would one go about seeing it, and what's it about (Who knows, maybe I've seen it, but I doubt it).

Hola Yak~

It was available on a videotape, can't remember the name of the tape. It was pretty widely available for rent way-back-when. I have a copy of it (somewhere), but only ever watched it once. As memory serves me it is the story of a little female puppet named (of course) Petrouchka. It is an all musical outing and seemed to be be rather poignant and sad. (A Looney Tune or Merrie Melody it ain't!!!). I think it was made around 1957 (shades of "What's Opera Doc?"!!).
