Tonight, ABC is airing It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, and will air A Charlie Brown Christmas later this year. Which company owns the balance of the Charlie Brown TV specials if not ABC?

P.S. it doesn't seem the same for a CB special to air on a network other than CBS. ;)

ABC does own the broadcasting rights to all the Charlie Brown specials. And I think Disney does own a part of the cartoons as well.

GARFIELD'S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE!
I wonder why it hasn't aired this year.

ABC managed to buy the TV rights to "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown", "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", and "A Charlie Brown Christmas". That's the only three TV specials they got the rights to. Apparently they offered more than CBS was.

Disney doesn't own any part of the Peanuts TV specials. I am not sure who exactly does (United Features Syndicate? The Shultz Family?). The last place the remainder of the TV specials were seen on television was on Nickelodeon.

They're currently owned by Paramount Pictures.
But I still want to know what happened to.......
GARFIELD'S HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE!
Was it too scary for the kiddies or something????

Come to think of it NONE of the Garfield TV specials have aired in a LONG time. I've been waiting so long for "Here Comes Garfield", and it never comes on. I knew I shoulda bought the video when I had the chance.

Only one aired last year on CBS, it was the Garfield Christmas Special.
The Halloween special also aired last year too.
