It was annouced that the first teaser trailer for Episode II will premere with every showing of Monsters Inc starting Friday, which should help that film get some extra money to compete with Harry Potter for the no.1 fall film. I mean, people saw the big screen version of the game "Wing Commander" tosee the Episode I trailer, so they'll definatly go see a film that should actually be good to see this new trailer, I think.

Wing Commander?

I saw the Ep 1 trailer with Meet Joe Black when it first started up. Left during a free period, used a free movie pass, happily missed my wretched evil theoretical math class, left the theater after the trailer- with some bad sketches. ^ ^

The ONLY reason I went to see Wing Commander was to see the trailer. That movie sucked eggs. But Monsters Inc, coming from the always brilliant Pixar, was already on my "must see" list and didn't need any bonus to get me to the theater. But this is definately a good thing!

Yeah I think you are right! I went to see Monsters Inc yesterday and I saw a new Harry Potter Commercial followed directly Star Wars Episode II The Attack Of The Clones! For anyone thast didin't remember from it being mentioned in A NEW HOPE I think this might have something to do with the Clone Wars! Duh! I mean it is kinda obvious. Attack of The Clones=Clone Wars. But anyway Robert, You are right! It was all there when I went to see it! No words were said in it. No music. Just Pictures Of Battleing! Anakin and Obi-Wan Running! Anikan and Padme kissing. And during the entire commercial you heard Darth Vader breathing! So I wonder if Anikan will show some kind of evil in this movie! I wonder who the one they were battling was. I don't think it was Sidious because he has never held a lightsaber! And if you don't know the obvious, Lord Sideous is Palpetine. Anakin is much much older in this movie. Probably in his early 20's. A sign of Anakin turning to the Dark Side is Anaking always wears black clothing in the commercials! But It Is great. I am really looking forward to the movie!

I saw the trailer this afternoon, and it certainly is promising, mainly because of what you mentioned, the only background sounds were of Vader breathing, perhaps promising a darker episode than Episode I, but then again, anything would be darker than Episode I. Maybe it's a pattern, the second film of the original trilogy was dark and it was considered brilliant, perhaps it will be the case for the second ep of the new trilogy, although there's nothing that can surprise us as that other second movie did.
Best of all for many fans most likely was that there was no Jar Jar to be found, though he will be in Ep 2. At least their I Hate Jar Jar web pages and rants will be brought back from the doldrums for that.
