Codename: KND, Familiar Animation

I enjoyed wacthing Codename: Kids Next Door. Even better
now that it's running on both Cartoon Network and Kid's WB
(8:00 a.m. eastern). But have any of you reconize the animation? If you do, tell me and I'll respond after a few of your responses have been posted.

The animation is designed by Tom Warborton, who did the animation for Disney's Pepper Ann cartoon.

Actually, he also animated the cartoon cartoon "Kenny and the Chimp" which was far superior to pepper ann, although KND is not without it's subtle charm (as well as a recurring role by the "evil" scientist Professor XXXL [Triple-Xtra large])

Glad both of you notice the animation. I think I also noticed it from those CBS Saturday moning bumpers back in the early 90's which looks one of his early works. So his name is "Tom Warburton" or "Mr. Warburton" as his name impiles under the Codename: KND title and as the main "writing operative" for the KND episodes. To answer Shoguthethird's question, yes the animation is far superior, both the short "Kenny & The Chimp" and KND than the drowsy, lay back Disney series, "Pepper Ann" which lasted 2 seasons. KND has action, adventure, and comedy.

Professor XXXL has appeared in (So far) in two KND episodes. And in every
ep, he always have a freakish appearance. The losbter claw (Kenny & The Chimp), the turtle shellback and the squid tenticles (the 2 KND eps). The voice of him is that of Frank Welker (XXXL sounds slightly like Dynomutt). He's the longtime voice of Freddy Sims in "Scooby Doo" as well as the voice of Ray Stans and Slimmer in "The Real Ghostbusters" (1986-1991). He's also know for doing those animal and monster noises.

I had a hunch that Sue Rose hired Mr Warburton to do the animation for Disney's "Pepper Ann" as well as she had somebody named "Fontiane" to help create her other series, "Angela Annaconda". Thanks. Anyone has anything else to add?

I'm something of an admirer of XXXXL, sure he's an adult but look at everything he's done for kids, the perfect snow-cone, melt-free ice cream, and my personal favorite, trying to destroy the PTA, ya gotta love the big lug for that one alone

I think all of that show except for the chimp short (BAM! Look at that bacon sizzle!) is boring. Destroy the PTA

havent you noticed, that Tom Kenny who plays Spongebob ( die die die !!) is in almost all the knd episodes, he is mostly a villan. and he is also in that kenny and the chimp. :eek:
