MTV Animation is shutting down, after eight years in business. The company is being shut down due to a massive restructuring at MTV Networks. Several Nicktoons animators will be laid off as well.
MTV Animation is best known for "Beavis and Butthead," "Daria" and "Celebrity Deathmatch." MTV will now rely on independant animation companies, including Mainframe Entertainment, who is animating "Gatecrasher" for them.
