Last weekend a got quite a deal in comic books at a nearby flea market.I bought three old comic books that had been published during the 1970s.One of them was The SuperFriends, another was Welcome Back Kotter, and the third one was a Road Runner comic.I haven't seen Welcome Back Kotter or The SuperFriends in syndication in years. But I've recently discovered The SuperFriends on VHS.

In the 70's, DC publishesd a Superfriends comic book spinoff of the TV show. It made frequent references to then-current JLA comic storylines (despite not being considered to take place within the then-mainstream DC Universe/"Earth-One"). Among other things, the writers (which included longtime DC editor/scribe/fanboy E. Nelson Bridwell) offered explanations of what happened to Wendy and Marvin, and an origin story for the Wonder Twins. You can buy a trade paperback of some SF stories DC put out a few years ago...

Never read the Welcome Back, Kotter comic.

DC reprinted some of their old Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies comics that've been published over the decades (going back to the 40's) in a "Best of" TPB a few years ago, presumably including at least one Roadrunner story.
