So I've used this signature forever now...and I joined another board recently and they allow picture sig's....so I made one...and this is how it turned out...
Thoughts, comments, hate posts?
lol...

(It looks better on the black background of the other board...so I'll link my user profile from there...HERE (http://herorpgs.net/forums/index.php?act=Profile&CODE=03&MID=54))

Hate posts? Sorry but you won't find any of those in here y'know :D

I think its excellent, I love the drop shadow (or whatever its called) effect on the text and the pictures mesh very nicely with it and the blue background too. Great banner all in all, Andrea.

I'm really in love with making these things now, what a great way to get a quote to pop...ecspecially one's that have something meaningful to say. I find myself making these when I'm bored.

Nice, Alex Ross.

Some very powerful banners here, with a nice choice of visuals. If you ever feel like doing a Spider-Man, please post it here. :)

I'm working on a flash one right now...just having trouble finding a quote that suits his personality...but is still as powerful as I want it ya know? And if you find a really good picture of spidey..comperable to Alex Ross...I'd la-la-love to make a spidey one too.

These are all very cool Andrea and so well-made too, I love the Punisher one especially and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next. :)

Nice. I prefer the first too to the Punisher one (I must oppose my colleague on that one. Nice choice of pic, I just think the value of the type colour is too similar to the background. For a banner, one needs a strong distinction IMO. Just as a constructive point if you were to update it. Like with the Batman and the yellow type, the yellow stands out clear from the image without really taking away from it. Maybe try a yellow or a white on the Punisher type, might make the clarity a little stronger.

I like the choice of pics also. A little different from the standard banner material.

Here's the official final version of this, because I made it for AmazingSpidey and this is the one he liked most. Here's the second version because a lot of the people I showed it to liked it best..
http://img31.photobucket.com/albums/v92/emmy247/SpidermanSigBar2.jpg

There is a third version but it was the least well recieved one so I'm not gonna bother posting it.

So there you go AS...it's all yours! :anime:

Thanks for making these, they are so awesome. It's a shame TZ can't have banners in thier signitures, I'd use that in a heartbeat. Thanks again :anime:

Awesome stuff. I'm kind of torn between the two for much as I like the curve of the text its harder to read, yet the colour of the second set of text is more pleasing, though it would possibly be too much with straight text.

I'm tying myself up in knots here, probably best if I just shut up. Suffice to say though the Spidey banner is ace!

And I'm back. I got bored and did another. This one was kind of tricky, the Alex Ross original stopped about halfway through the cape there, I had to build the rest of it out in PS.

I could not find a good quote for Batgirl though. This is the best I could come up with. If ANYONE has a suggestion for a better one, I'd be more than happy to alter it.

Nice. Very nice. And the Burke quote goes very well with Bats.

Lovely. I really like that. I think you've found a great method of keeping the type legiable while not losing the power of the picture. There is also a relation between the serif font at the angles of the picture. Slight curves and bends which make the image and type relate better. Nice work!

I used to do the same thing with sig pics. It's a fun way to spend some time, and a fast and easy way for your personality to be recognized on some boards.

So far, the most eye-catching is the batgirl pic. The text/font in the spidey ones gets lost, as your eye is battling against too many draws. Batmans is very nice.

The Cap'n A pic, I love the font colors/dimensions you used, but I would have broken up the second line into a third line, and avoided the curve. Something like these lines (although I don't like where I threw the author quote):

Or keep the heads on the left, or even split 'em up. Splitting them up would bring more attention and significance to the quote, though the great Ross art would probably get overlooked.

Great work. Very fun and eye-catching!

Yeah, I was never too crazy about the Spidey pic, but I did it for Amazing Spidey, he picked the picture and such. I would have done comic book art for the bar itself if it would have been simply for my pleasure. Thanks for the comments everyone.

A partial Douglas Adams quote and a half hour later...this is the result.

Could I make a small suggestion? How about aligning the quote left so both lines fall on the same axis. That way it would relate better to the "Douglas Adams" verticle you have and also prevent the second line from overlapping the key symbol in an image. I would be interested to see if that helps the relation between image and type.

Just an idea! :)

Altered as suggested by SJJ.^

I personally like the other better, though it's just out of personal preference. Even though the text encroaches a little on the symbol in the other one, the text being displaced in a forward manner, I felt added to the movement and helped lead the eye from left to right a little better. First you saw "Nothing.." then onto "with.." then the flash symbol and then finally to the 'And me.' Its a trade off thing.

But I edited it anyway, just for you SJJ. :p

Bah, I have a supergirl one in the works, but I need a good quote. If anyone has a suggestion I'd be thrilled, really.

Then it's Superman, Green Lantern, the Human Torch and more until I get bored with it again.
