While reorganizing my room, I have actualy been able to fit nearly all my mecha on shelves and display them in their most powerful form....only thing is, is that everybody who sees it is " that's great, but where's your Gundams" , and I is all like "I don't collect any Gundams" and they are all like "WTF YOU DON'T COLLECT GUNDAMS!!!"....or somthing like that....yes an estimated 1000 mecha figures(I have over 100 minicons alone) and not a single Gundam among the bunch, Transformers, Zoids, Zords, Voltron, and etc. and peopple arn't impressed and shocked because I don't own any Gundams....

So....apparently my closet will be next to be re-organised/cleaned up and I have some room to possibly put some of these bastard plastic machines in there

only thing is I have no idea what the hell to get....
I don't like those small action figures
I don't like painting models and I don't like Glueing models(but I do like the easy snap togther ones like Zoids)
I want somthing fairly big but not too expensive(meaning nothing over 80-100+ bucks)
and fairly sturdy(considering that the maids knock stuff over and many a mecha have fallen)

I don't care who pilots it
I don't care about the faction
I don't care that the stats on the card are horrid
I don't even care what show it was on(considering that I don't like the Gundam cartoons)

I just want some fairly large impressive mecha models or figures that doesn't cost an arm and a leg...

Are there any the size of MP Prime or around 14-17 inches tall?

Toys 'R' Us should have a bunch of G Gundam kits still there. They only cost $5.

FYI, NO Gundam models require glue. The detail for Models Skill Level 3 & Up is pretty good (The G Gundam models I mentioned are level 3. The SEED Models out now at Level 1, avoid those).

You could also take a challenge and create a 1/60 Perfect Grade Gundam Kit for about $200.

After some deliberations and research i deicded to opt to go with the 1/60 scale Strike Gundam...mainly because it was around 30 bucks

and 1/60 scale is fairly big(I have Bandai's 1/55 valks and they're a fairly tall size)

So, after this initial kit acting as a trial I think I could fit 5 more on the shelf unit

how big are the 1/100 and 1/44's in inches...

Ah, you're getting the cheap 1/60. :P

The 1/144 size is about 5" tall, while the 1/100's are about 8-10" tall.

I don't know about recent 1/60 models(non PG) but in the past they have'nt been very good quality wise.

Ah so the 1/100 are a fairly good size as well...

How big is the 1/60 when fully assembled?

1/60 Perfect Grade's are average about 15" tall. Not only do you build the frame, but the skeleton and the innards as well. The RX-78-2 (aka the original Gundam), also comes with the Core Fighter as well as the Core Fighter cockpit.

1/60 about 19in. Atleast thats how big Strike is.

I think the write up on the Strike Gundam at hlj.com said it came with a pilot, is that the same thing?

19 inches though, it may rival Unicron...but then it would only be 3rd tallest when compared to Pyramidas and Fortress Maximus...

I don't think Kira comes with the 1/60 models but he dose come with the 1/100 but mind you do have to paint him.

There is also the Arch Rivals action figure line. The figures stand about as tall as 1/100 scale kits and they're much more sturdy than the regular ol action figures.

The only ones out are Wing Gundam Zero custom and Tallgeese3 and Rx-78 (og Gundam) and Char's Gelgoog.

they sell for about $24.99 I've seen some recently at Target. the Wing Custom is especially worht the $$$ and what the RX-78 and Gelgoog lack in flair they make up for in weaponry.
