This is a really good OVA so far.
I've seen episode 1.

Episode 2 is released in July in Japan.

Since I'm not good at summarizing, I'll just copy and paste the summary from the site I acquired it from.

Eiri Kurahashi is an art student who works part-time at the antique shop "Kourandou." Eiri falls in love with the image of a blonde-hair, blue-eyed girl he can see in a cut glass chalice, and secretly enjoys his trysts with the apparition. But, that was the beginning of the tragic tale of the star-crossed two brought together by the cursed vessel...

Director: Akiyuki Shinbou
Screenplay: Mayori Sekijima
Original Character Designs: Hirofumi Suzuki
Music: Yuki Kajiura
Cast : Mitsuki Saiga (Eiri Kurahashi), Marina Inoue (Cossette d'Auvergne), et al
Official Site : http://www.cossette.jp (http://www.cossette.jp/)

I've uploaded a good number of screencaps from the first episode to my site.
*Warning: Blood and gore. There are a number of spoilers for the first episode too, but nothing that would really take away from it.

Yeah. Cossette has to be the most messed up thing to hit OVA in a while. It's got a good mix of European and Japanese gothic styles, with a large injection of splatter film horror, though it's definetely got the potential to suck as much as rock. So far, it's if nothing else unique. Whether than can be followed on with some more movement in story and plot, remains to be seen. If they get bogged down in pointless lolicon though in the second episode, it'll just be gross, and stupid.

I agree with everything you said, but there wasn't that much loli-material in the first episode.
Heck, Cossette was only naked once, and it didn't show anything.

In any case, I think this show is great so far.
The imagery it threw at us was a bit....insane, but it was still pretty good. Enough to creep me out and give me chills.

Then again, maybe it was just the music. :p

I basically agree with what was said before, really good in all the aspects it covers. So July huh?...oh boy.

I'm just saying it has the potential to head in that direction, and ruin itself in the process.

When a wall has the words "gothic lolita" written on it in blood-red paint, one begins to worry.

Side note: The ED Theme is great, though the lyrics are messed up/disturbed.

From reading the descriptions above, I gather that it's a cross between Rose of Versaille and Evil Dead.
