I'm sure you've all noticed how the ears of Mighty Mouse resemble that of Mickey Mouse.Inspite of the fact that Mighty Mouse is not a Walt Disney cartoon character like Mickey,I can't help wondering if he had the same kind of black circled ears on purpose.

Mmmm, it's a possibility! I'm not too keen on the history of Terrytoons, but considering that a lot of studios copied Disney, it could very well be.

Mighty Mouse had ears that worked in perspective, Mickey Mouse didn't.

In "The Little Whirlwind" through to "Symphony Hour" (but not in the color remake of "The Orphan's Benefit" which was done at about the same time) Mickey's ears worked in semi-perspective.

What, I wonder, is "semi-perspective" (note: no flaming is intended here)? Much like 97% of our elected officials these days, as well as Mickey and Mighty, you either have perspective or you serve multiple terms. (Let's leave the "where?" to the imagination.)
Now, getting back to Mighty Mouse's perspective, Viacom-- [everybody in unison: "Oh, shut up about that already, Geezil!"]

I'm sorry about that. (I knew what I meant:sweat: ) ("Semi-perspective" is a perfectly cromulent word. It embiggens us all to learn new words on a daily basis. Just Kidding :p ) What I mean is that they don't work in 100% accurate perspective, because they still have a tendancy to float around on his head, but they did sort of work in perspective in that they weren't always round, depending on which way he turned his head.

Mighty Mouse was supposed to be a send-up of Superman, not a Mickey Mouse clone.

And just THINK... If I. Klein had gotten his first wish and the premiere cartoon had starred "Superfly" then this whole discussion wouldn't be possible!! :p ;) :bosko:
...And on the other hand, ifffffff Walt hadn't been enamored of the silent Aesops Fables with their resident mice, then Mickey would not have been possible. Soooooo let's see... Disney borrowed the mouse concept from Paul Terry for Mickey, then years later I. Klein suggested "Superfly" to Terry who then changed it to "Supermouse" because he liked mice and the thought of having a mouse character (kinda like Walt had that mouse character...). So who's stealing from who?!?! :p

Mickey & Mighty are both MICE.
They are both BLACK mice.
MICE have ROUND EARS.
BLACK mice have ROUND BLACK EARS.
I think that's all there is to it.
