This weekend before Shrek 2 I saw a trailer for the upcoming movie Shark Tale. Apparently in the movie, a tiny fish becomes really popular in the fish world after everyone thinks he killed a shark (who really died when an anchor fell on him). Is it me, or does this seem highly derivative of the Batman episode The Man Who Killed Batman, where small-time crook Sid the Squid becomes extremely popular after everyone thinks he killed Batman? No doubt when this movie comes out everyone will make comparisons to Finding Nemo, but it seems to me that Paul Dini should be the one filing a law suit.

oh thank god, I thought Halle Berry decided to ruin another batman character
actually the premise of the movie is only partially based on "the man who killed Batman" other characters think the fish killed a shark (who are a send-up of the mob) but one of the sharks needs to fake his death...or something like that, if anything it's less based on that episode and more like a clone of any of the mafia-based comedies of late

How about copying the original source material "Seven In One Blow", and no not the Disney cartoon, the fairy tale.
Oh and welcome to the boards.
