Does anyone remember the contest we had earlier this year, where the winner got a 2-hour tape of whatever rare cartoons they wanted? Well, I think it's time we did that again, but I'm not sure what kind of contest we can do this time. The last contest was to find the worst-selling item on Amazon.com. That was fun, be we should try to do something different. Anyone got an idea?

Maybe I'll get a bunch of random pictures of people, and whoever can identify the most wins the tape. How about guessing who my avatar is, for starters?

I think it's Peter Tork of Monkees fame.

Indeed it is. I guess I'll have to make the actual contest much harder.

Sacco and Vanzetti were a vaudeville dance act...all kidding aside, they were two unfortunates who were likely wrongly convicted and executed for crimes they likely didn't commit.

Tom and Jerry were later known as Simon and Garfunkel. They sold a few records 30-odd years ago.

CORRECT on both counts.

'Did you see what I did to those anarchist bastards?'
- a quip from the judged who sentenced Sacco and Vanzetti

(this, after instructing the jurors that it did not MATTER if the accused had actually committed the crime...)
