With JL now over I thought there should be a poll for what character you got to like more than you did before JL was on. This is NOT for your favorite character but for which you like more now because of JL. I voted the Flash because before JL aired I thought he wasn't good enough to call himself a hero but after episodes like A Better World and Starcrossed, my thoughts of him change the most. Second would be Hawkgirl but I never hated her so my mind didn't change much of her but still after Starcrossed it did change. So she comes a close second. Now Batman he might be my favorite hero but JL didnt change what I thought about him much. He always be the biggest badass I know.

Green Lantern, I liked him more because I learned he was a marine.
And the Martian Manhunter, before the show I never knew he existed! :p
And I bet nobody else did either...

I barely knew anything about martian manhunter before JL, but they've managed to make me like him quite a bit. I still like most of the other heroes better, but i'm glad he's in the show, he's a pretty cool character.
I grew to really like John Stewart. He wasn't the "token" minority character that fans had associated him as before the show premiered. Initially, I didn't really like the character. I remember in "Secret Origins" or one of the first episodes, he said something to Wonder Woman that was similar to, "Listen lady, I don't know what your problem is." To me, he seemed like he had a bug up his behind...
That being said, I really started to enjoy the character in "The Brave and the Bold." His interaction with Flash was great. And of course, his relationship with Hawkgirl made him all the more interesting. :)

I voted for John Stewart. Although I already had prior knowledge of everyone on the show I wasnt exactly sure how to take John when I first heard he was going to be the GL for the show. Not that I took it as a negative it was simply a wait and see thing.Im happy to say he has exceeded my expectations and has gone on to become one of my favorite characters on the show something I would have never thought. He never seemed as interesting in the comics as he is on the show. Bruce Timm gets my praises for this. I like his whole attitude and demenor on the show and think hes a far better fit than Kyle would have ever been.

Depends on what u mean by changing your mind? If u mean a positive change, then most definately John Stewart. When they started the show he came off as a token minority on the show to add some color. I was pissed they werent using Kyle from "In Brightest Day" if for no other reason then for continuity. But as the show went on, Stewart really came along. In fact, other then Batman, he was probably the only fully developed character on the entire show by the end of the first season. I really looked forward to John Stewart episodes in the first season (except "In Blackest Night") because i felt the writers and producers put there most effort into those episodes just to prove the anti-John Stewart people wrong.
On the flip side of the coin, JL changed my mind about Wonder Woman, and not in a good way. Could the writers possibly make her any more bland and personality-less? Dont get me wrong, by the end of the second season they improved upon her tremendously. But honestly, i still couldnt care less if she lived or died through an episode.

Id say Flash. Even though they could still develop him alot more i think hes been constanly improving this season. Hopefully in JLU they do that

I voted for the Martain Manhunter. I originally started watching JL for Batman. The only characters I wasn't familiar with were Hawkgirl and MM.
I really didn't care for either of them, but after MM's subplot in the "Tabula Rosa" episode, I really changed my mind about him. He's an okay guy!:)

Hawk girl.I didn't even know she existed before the show.
I think I have to say that hawkgirl was the character who I would chose. When she first came in I thought she was kind of a stupid character, I mean all I thought she can do is fly and swing an electric mace around, from my first impression I thought that she was just another "girl power" figure(wasn't it hawkman before?). SHe turned out to be a good character one who was compassionate, strong, and human. I thought she would be the stereo type "Tom Boy" in a sense she was but her character did not revolve around that. The one thing that put her ahead of GL was Starcrossed though.

Nice poll. It strikes me as the kind the creative team would look to with interest. I'm not at all surprised that Hawkgirl's dominating, in light of Starcrossed, and I almost voted for her too, but J'onn has been the most constistantly easy to root for.

Hawkgirl. I used to like her in the comics.
On a more positive note, I grew to appreciate John Stewart, although we could've done with all that retconning nonsense about him being a GL before Kyle.

I voted for the biggest character turnaround in the series-Superman. He was just a bland boyscout in Secret Origins (A far cry from Superman TAS) and didn't get any more interesting till Twilight. He owned in episodes like Twilight, The Terror Beyond, A Better World, Starcrossed and ESPECIALLY Hereafter. Now THAT'S character growth.
Second choice would be Hawkgirl who turned from a smash first, ask questions later bore, into the complex woman of Only a Dream, Starcrossed, Wild Cards, and The Terror Beyond.
I liked Green Lantern better than when the series started. But if he ever talks about the way things were when he was a kid again on JLU (See Legends, Comfort and Joy) I will throw a brick through my TV. Best episodes were Starcrossed, The Brave and the Bold, Wild Cards, and The Savage Time.
My opinion never changed on Batman. He was the coolest character and the best and he owned every scene he was in. Best episodes were A Better World, Injustice For All, Twilight, Starcrossed and Only a Dream
Wonder Woman was probably the least developed character but I loved her in The Savage Time, Maid of Honor, and Starcrossed.
Flash developed a lot in season two. My favorite episodes were The Brave and the Bold, Maid of Honor, A Better World, Starcrossed, and Comfort and Joy.
J'onn J'onnz I liked less as the series went on but he really shined in Twilight, Comfort and Joy, and Only a Dream.

Hey, you were a kid once too right?
Anyway my favorites Superman, Batman. For reasons already stated.
Flash, hey sense of humor plus development can't go wrong.

But I thought John's been in the comics for way longer than Kyle.John was a Green Lantern before Kyle in the comics.
Im thinking they may be talking about the fact that Kyle appeared in the animated DCU before John. But that doesnt make it a retcon because they really didnt change anything. They never had a reason to say John was around before Kyle until the JL series. The way it is writen Kyle was new to the Green Lantern thing and John being a vet (and with Earth being his home sector im sure ) was offered it due to some kind of seniority. So Kyle who was in need of training anyway was sent packing for GL boot camp with Katma Tui.
