I've heard that the guy doing Superman in JL is different than the one who did it in S:TAS ( I suck at names ). However, he had done Superman in BB, where he was a more mature, older Superman.

Perhaps this would be a good thing, if they assume Legacy is in continuity, to represent the change in Superman's character and demeanor??

Sorry to say, the guy who does Superman's voice in Justice League is not the same guy from Batman Beyond. George Newbern is the voice of Supes in Justice League. Chirstopher McDonald (did I spell that right) voice Supes in Batman Beyond and voiced Jor-El (Supes' biological father) of Superman: The Animated Series/The New Superman Adventures.

I'll miss Tim Daly. His voice was perfect--it was deep and authoritative, yet had a softness fit for a guy like Superman. However, if George Newburn can do a good job, I'm all for him doing it (I'm just glad that it's not Chirstopher McDonald again...he's good for Jor-El, not Kal).

My only question is: Who will do Bizzaro's voice if he returns?

I really wish Tim Daly was voicing Supes again, but the change will be alright I think...

Tim Daly will be missed. We'll see how the new Superman will do.

Is anyone else up for this? I would be the first one to vote for his return.

The petition would only work if he's willing to return. I think he's busy with other projects and is unable to return. Oh, and welcome to the boards!!.

After seeing the commercial last night, I'm convinced that George Newman ain't all bad. He's no Tim Daly, but he's not nearly as bad as some have been saying. Assuming, of course, that WAS Superman talking at the end there.

After watching the pilot twice yesterday, I must admit, Newburn isn't bad. At times, I couldn't tell that it wasn't Daly. However, Newburn is an inexperienced voice actor. I think as he gets into more "Justice League" episodes, he'll be better. He was satisfying in the pilot though, but some disagree.

Yeah if the new Superman is talking at the end of the commercial then he sounds too young.

Yes, that was. He does sound younger than Daly in "Origins."

I agree with Vince. Give the guy some time, I'm sure he'll warm into it. Not everyone's a natural. Who knows, this guy could turn out to be *gasp* better than Daly.

The new voice actor is roughly ten years younger than Daly. Daly had a deper voice which helped. This guy doesn't have that advantage, and he's a bit younger. But if Timm says he works...well...let's hope...

Well, let me tell you, I saw the commercial posted on the site and heard Supeman's new voice. I think Newburn has definate potential, but, yes, he does sound a little young (which will be weird, especially since Superman is designed to be older in this version). However, he does have the softness to his voice that Daly possessed.

Let's give him some time...he'll grow on us.

I agree with Karkull. After some time the new voice will grow on us. I thought Tim Daly's voice was perfect for Superman. He had the right tone, the right presence for Supes. It will be an adjustment. Every time I watch "Wings" anymore I can't help but think of S:TAS. Oh well. At least Conroy is back to voice Batman. He's "got it" as far as Batman goes, just as Daly "got it" with Superman. Could there be any better?

He sounds a bit younger, but it works pretty well. And as stated on another thread, he sounds a lot like Daly during his calmer moments.

Voice changes are never a good thing, especially on a such a major character. Remember when a new voice actress was brought in for Maude Flanders? Ugh...that was bad...

On the other hand, remember when a new voice was brought in for Barbara Gordon on TNBA? Thank goodess.
