You dont need to know anything,and it doesnt matter if you dont know what is a 'text adventure'...
The posting goes like in the regular Q and A threads...instead of questions and answers you type the result of the previous command and give a new command.
This game also includes the famous clock,so to every post you add a minute.
Examples :
Time : 9:23
Computer : you are standing in front of door.
Jack : Look at door
(this is one post-now the next poster)
Time : 9:24
Computer : there is no name on the door.only a doorbell.
Jack : use doorbell.

Time : 9:25
Computer : a very big guy opens the door.hes holding a bat.
Jack : talk to guy : "r u Mr.Black?"

Time : 9:26
Computer (now the guy) : "yeah,whaddya want?"
Jack : show CTU ID card to guy

So like u see,its very easy..u can pick commands like : walk to/pick up/talk to/look at/push/..and whatever u want!you can also use items from your inventory...
- I know that the clock bit might not always be one with the story and actions,but nevertheless its good to have it there for the feeling of 24,so just play along with it,if every post is one minute then we'll have a good amount of posts to finish this day but it will also tell us when the day is over.(then you can start a new thread for a new day with a new story)
-If you want to play as someone else instead of jack,lets say Michelle,you simply say : "change to Michelle"...then of course the next poster will reply with:

Michelle : (instead of jack)

Time : 10:00 AM
Computer : You are sitting in your car,CTU parking lot.
You're about to exit the car and enter the building for a meeting with the new head of CTU.
Jack : Check inventory
