Well, K-PAX is the number movie of the weekend, barely beating out the newest schlock horror film Thirteen Ghosts. On a dissapointing note, thought, From Hell takes quite a stumble and loses almost 50% of it's audience. Here's the top 10:

1. K-Pax - $17,500,000 (17.5 mill)
2. Thirteen Ghosts - $15.7,00,000 ($15.7 mill)
3. From Hell - $6,100,000 ($20.8 mill)
4. Riding In The Car With Boys - $6,000,000 ($19.1 mill)
5. Training Day - $5,100,000 ($65 mill)
6. Bandits - $5,100,000 ($32.1 mill)
7. Serendipity - $3,900,000 ($40.1 mill)
8. The Last Castle - $3,700,000 ($13 mill)
9. Corky Romano - $3,000,000 ($20.2 mill)
10. Bones - $3,000,000 ($3.7 mill)

I wonder why Glitter isn't up there with Thirteen Ghosts and From Hell. That Mariah Carey vehicle is just as frightening...

I'm honestly surprised 13 Ghosts did so well. The trailer didn't look that good, it looks like something I've already seen- several times...

Yeah but with Halloween I think it has more to do with going and seeing something thats gonna scare you instead of story.

You're right, but if people really wanted to get scared, why didn't they go see "Glitter".... Ooooohhh.... I know, that was bad...

I was suprised how well THIRTEEN GHOSTS did. It looks like typical schlocker fare. But it is Halloween so some are probably looking for the scare.
