It is my belief that Memorial day, 4th of July, New Years Eve, and Holloween are extremely dangerous times to drive...On holidays, many people use it as an excuse to "let go" and drink a little more, and pay less attention to the road...................................................................Here are the facts...On any given day, at any given time, l in eleven people have had, a drink of booze of some kind in the last 3 to 6 hours. Many are on the road, driving..Also, many people use recreational drugs and drive..it is the truth. In addition, people are easily distracted by use of cell phones, car discussion and passing scenery.. One last thouht, most do not think about, millions of people are taking prescriibed medications, that really do impair their ability to drive...Even a non prescription drug, sold over the counter everywhere, Benedril, for allergies, has been proven to make people less competent at the wheel, in general, than a person who has had two or three drinks.....So be defensive, on a weekend like this I would guess 1 in 9 drivers is not at peak form..Lets be back on Tuesday, in good health, to contiue our disucssions....Have a great happy weekend, please drive safely...Stuart:) Comments on this topic are desired, if you have a different opinion, I would like to hear it...thank you.
