Sadly, Baku-Ten sucks so far. o_O
And YAY for Popotan.
That means the OST will be brought over and more people shall experience the wonder of Under17!

Well, FUNi did already own the domain for each and every license they've announced this year.

Yeah...consider when I said Bakuwas "nice to look at", not really much of a plot yet....and I don't even bother with Gantz. Anyone hate the topic title I chose?

Is the quote from the first few episodes of Popotan?
With the kid who said he saw ghosts but it turned out to be 2 hot girls, 1 android maid, 1 loli and a ferret named Unagi-chan?

I hope Funi got BakuTen. Even if it isn't the best anime, I can buy it at my Target for $15.
What is Popotan and Gnatz?

Just to remind you, Funi licenced over 100 domain names. Most of which are for properties they don't even own.

Well as Karl said a few weeks ago, Funi registered a site for Megazone 23. There's probably some other ones like kaleidostar.com and Samuraichamploo.com

Gah another one? FUNi really is trying to expand their library. I guess that's a good thing as long as the continue to treat their dubs like Fruit Basket and Kiddy Grade rather than Dragonball Z... but dang they've got a lot under their belts now 3 new series annouced while about five are still being released on DVD 3 of which are also being edited for television while one is being editied for Fall (if not more) and Sakura Wars OVA's just kinda out there along with the DBZ and DB movies (and the single DBGT movie-special) and finally all the videos and DVD's they are putting out for 4kids and Nelvana. Sheesh... no wonder they've been hiring lately.
And on top of all this they're are a few things they have pending but haven't been annouced and may not get annouced this year... but dang it I WANT ONE PIECE. Why must they continue to push it back? :(

Should Gantz and Baku-Ten actually end up being licenced by Funi that would put em in a tie for second place in the GONZO count.
So far it's:
Geneon-Gatekeepers, Gatekeepers 21, Gad Guard, Last Exile, Hellsing, Vandread, Vandread: The Second Stage
ADV-Zaion, FFU, FMP!, Kaleido Star, Gravion, Chrno Crusade, Peacemaker Kurogane
Tied for the lead, followed by
Bandai-Blue Sub #6, Yukikaze, Melty Lancer
and bringing up the rear:
Tokyopop- Real Bout High School
Viz- She, The Ultimate Weapon (Saikano)
Funimation- Kiddy Grade
Amazingly enough, Samurai 7 still hasn't been licenced!

Hm... more and more it's easy to see if an anime is licensed before it is even announced it was acquired.
Those titles don't really matter to me. But Hell would probably break loose if somebody has already acquired Midori no Hibi.

That'll change soon enough...I can feel it's aura changing. Midoi no Hibi will also be in good hands. I am hoping "Buster Angel" gets a plot soon...man...plots are like resumes, without it you're going nowhere :anime: .

How many times do I have to say, it's not the studio that counts, it's the producers, planners and money companies?
For example, Hellsing was managed/funded/executive produced by Rondo Robe (aka Pioneer LDC (now known as Geneon Entertainment Japan,) and Gonzo did the animation work. As such, Gonzo had no say in where it went overseas, as it's not really a Gonzo property per se (kinda like how FLCL is a Gainax property, though IG did the bulk of the animation work on it.) Now, when it comes to properties where Gonzo took the lead, they usually sell it to whoever will pay them the most.
Anyway, the amazing list of Funi domains is somewhere, I just need to refind it. Give me a sec.
Edit - Here's a Partial List, but I'm sure more could be turned up, I just need to find the other search by registrant setups:

Y Files?! Thank god they didn't pick that one for Conan. It reeks of lame.
GANTZ TV seems pretty freaking pointless in my opinion. Although it looks like the DVD versions might not have such a censorship problem. But if you've read the manga and seen the TV version, you know that it's a waste of time.
Everyone's alive... COMMERCIAL BREAK... Everyone's dead! Please ignore the missing scenes!
Youko Recca
05-24-2004, 11:20 PM
Yeah Gantz fornicated my mind due to all the damn censoring. Seriously...in one scene I see the Yakuza trash talking and then both him and the teacher are dead thanks to the leek thing(common sence told me it was the leek). I was like...WTF!?

Aside from BG, Funi hasn't really licenced anything particularly risky in the content department, so this may be baloney.

Funimation has been buying/persuing some properties on the recommendation of various Funi staff members (for example, Spiral was picked up on the recommendation of one of the DBZ ADR Directors.) If some one their staff digs GANTZ, they might get it (especially if they think they can sell it, and so far, even though they've not been perfect with getting everything they've got on TV, they've yet to have a title that's sold really poorly.)

Fullmetal Alchemist, while it isn't risky in sexual content it's certainly risky in gruesome content.

It was based on an H game. A comedy-ish type H game.
Of course it's gonna be that way. :D
I wonder who they're gonna get to play Mii-tan.
She was voiced by Momoi Haruko in the Japanese version.
The rest of the characters parts would be pretty easy to fill.

Best of luck to them. It's probably going to have to be in a brown paper bag at the stores.
Gantz eh? That would be a bit of a hard sell for Funi, but good luck to them if they go for it. Saw the first ep. I was digging it from what I saw, though maybe I saw an uncesnsored version or something.
