Hi fanfolks, it's new Fresh Question time. Take off your thinking caps and put on your mushy caps, cuz emotional-boy is at it again!

Now we don't have to get TOO mushy with a topic like this, because lord knows the world has quite a bit to learn in the subject of love, but in terms of the stories told in TV, Movies, and the entertainment world:

What is your favorite love story and/or couple from a love story?? Why??

Tidus & Yuna- FFX,X-2. Yeah I know it's a game but there was a lot of good story material in there.

I'm gonna be predictable...

I can't wait to see what's going to happen between MJ and Peter in Spider-Man 2. Hopefully they won't end it cheaply or leave us with another massive cliffhanger, 2007 is too far away...

Phone Booth had great romantic tension, as Stu didn't decide who he wanted until the end of the film. With thier lives on the line, it created some incredible scenes. A truly underatted film...

I find a lot of romantic relationships in films to be incredibly forced. Usually a lame attempt to get women to see action films. M:i 2 had an interesting love triangle, but a lot of action films either completly loss focus or completly fail because of the romantic situations. Examples include Batman and Batman Forever. It also plauges some comedies, such as Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me.

If it works, go for it, if it doesn't...don't waste the time.

For such an interesting topic, it's dissapointing there are so few replies...

What is your favorite love story and/or couple from a love story?? Why??This isn't from a tv show or movie, but I've always thought Luke and Mara Jade Skywalker were handled well in Timothy Zahn's SW novels. One could always get a great sense of their love for one another through their interaction, even though it was never overt, always understated.

Ghost World, Enid and Seymour, a touching couple that really examined the nature of love. It was rather interesting to see the romantic pairing used in the film (based on a comic) and if great acting it became one of my favorite movies. Ending is a little sad though.

The Cooler, Bernie and Natalie, I can't say enough about this fantastic movie that while presenting this cool concept of luck really gives us the feeling that all we need is love. The sex scenes between the two main characters are raw and real and so is the couple, this is what makes me love these charcters so much.

Shrek, Fiona and Shrek, Shrek ends how Beauty and the Beast should have. I like this movie's couple for the same reason I like Ghost World. It's a couple that is pure in the idea of love and finding someone who truly understand you.

The Honeymooners, Ralph and Alice, Such a fantastic TV show and probably the greatest testiment to love. Even modern sitcoms have failed to present such a sweet couple that faces real problems and has real flaws. Ralph and Alice can be considered the modern template for modern sitcom couples, but must fail to live up to this one couiple.

Superman (all movies, shows, and comics), Clark Kent and Lois Lane, a great romance when you look at it. What's so vey interesting is that in Action Comics #1 things are so different, Superman only has two of the powers he has today and had super leaping. His origin was pretty different and so was the setting. But one of the few things that were in Action Comics #1 that have remained a staple in the Superman myths is Lois Lane and Clark admiring her wanting to show the true him. I really love their couple, and while most will opt for Batman and Catwoman, but I like this loving couple with its share of angst a little more.

The Wonder Years, Kevin and Wendy, a very true and a very raw romance. We all had that one girl growing up, or that one boy, and we all can relate to this couple who do have a sad end.

Batman, Bruce and Andrea, this is truly a great wondrful romance story. The very idea that it was a woman who stood in the way of Bruce fully becoming Batman is so incredibly touching.
