Well, a lot of people are still trying to cope with the fact that there is no more Angel... and for now the Buffyverse is gone. BUT there's still some hope for another spin-off(s)!

My question is: What spin-offs are you hoping will continue the Buffyverse?

They don't really have make that much sense and could all be in good fun. One idea I had would be to do a spin-off starring Lorne and his adventures in Pylea (if he went back after leaving the fang gang). Of course this would never happen but it's kinda funny thinking about it if it did...

Definately a Spike spinoff for me. The character never gets old. Also, I'd like a Faith spinoff, whenever Eliza Dushku finishes with Tru Calling.

Like I said in another thread I'd like spinoff called Faith and Spike. It could be about Faith and Spike both searching for redemption together. I'd also like to see Oz and Illyria in the spinoff. These are the four actors that I think would be most open to continuing the story. Throw Andrew into the mix, and you've got a show. I also think it would work better as a road series rather than being stuck in one place. Think about it: Faith could be running from the law, Spike and Illyria from Wolfram and Hart, and Oz has always been a roadie, (so has Andrew.) A new location every week and we could visit old friends and haunts (I'm thinking Los Angeles, Cleveland, Rome, Rio, Africa, England, and even Pylea.) That would be for the best, I think.

My spinoff idea stems off the Spike/Faith idea. The difference is my Spike has amnesia. He accidentally catches sight of faith who is trying to avoid the police. He feels a bit of familiarity. As the police surround her, not knowing she's a slayer he attacks the police nearly killing them. Faith stops him from going any further. Since Faith didn't know of Spike's ressurrection at Wolfram and Hart she is puzzled at his reappearance. Spike still doesn't know who he is, but he does know what he is. He tells her about him being hunted by other demons. The adventure begins as Spike is on a quest to remember who he is and why demon bounty hunters want his head, and Faith continues to dodge police. Since they are in america, they have no contact to Buffy or her resources as it is made clear that after the destruction of sunnydale, Faith set out for a new life away from her slayerhood. The theme of the series first season will mainly be Faith being reminded of the fight a slayer must endure, as she is forced to watch over Spike who is also trying to figure his place out in the world.

My idea for a spinoff would feature the aftermath of both BtVS and Angel. While Angel and Gunn stay in LA to reform Angel Investigations, Spike and Illyria leave to find there places in the world. Spike and Illyria are joined by watcher trainee, Andrew who embark on adventures to rid new evil and apocalypses from the world. They bump into Gwen, the electro thief, and the four of them join forces to make there mark in helping the helpless worldwide and to find their inner redemption. Eliza Duskhu (Faith), August J. Richards (Gunn), and Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy, who will make her final appearances as Buffy for a special two-parter) with Anthony Stewart Head (Giles) will make appearances during S1 to start the series off.

I think Ripper would have been good.

It wasn't until the last episode watching Lindsey do some violence that I thought he could also be good for a spin-off. It could be fun to focusing on someone without super powers and even a tad evil(ok, more then a tad.)
He's a complex character with much to explore.
But this is one idea they literally shot down.

I want "Groosalog: Brave and Undefeated"
maybe a roaming show with a roatating cast of characters...some old (Illyria, Spike, Andrew, Oz) and some new (no examples listed because they are new.)

I want a willow show or a Faith show. Everyone else has been done too much already. Especially Spike, I can't see him as a main character. I see him more as a follower and not a leader. I can see Willow making it on her own.

Cast:
Willow
Faith
Spike
Kennedy (Until they kill her off).
and
New People.

Why the hell did Fox renew Tru Calling? ARGH!!

I want to see the Faith spinoff too... the original premise sounded really cool.. with Spike being a ghost following her around while she jumps on her motorcycle going from city to city...

but without Spike being a ghost, it would still work..

anyhoo, on AICN, they're reporting that Allyson Hannigan's mom said that when she visited her daughter in England, she was recording some voice work for teh Buffy: Animated Series...

that's a pretty cool spinoff too...

Take two of the most unlikeable Buffyverse characters, make them likeable and start from the ground up.

Connor and Dawn attempt to go to school... somewhere, and end up having to deal with the local dark forces (maybe another Hellmouth or something similar to it...) and a new group of charismatic heroes rise around them.

I've no real desire for a spin-off with characters we already know inside and out.

I want to see something new, that'll recharge the fandom and the universe that will build up new and bring back the old in wholly un-explorered ways.

They need a new series that doesn't really involve characters that have complicated back stories like Dawn or Connor and reuses an old idea. I think the route they need to follow is a show with an ensemble cast that doesn't really focuses on one charcter you know somthing like Firefly except with an already exsisting concept.

The concept would be a much larger more global version of The Iniative drafting 5 heros in a international effort to help protect the planet and keep the general public in the dark when it comes to demons and other sci-fi things.

I would use

Gunn (USA) He would be the legal man and would be used to keep the peace between the different demon tribes considering he's got a whole bunch of legal mumbo jumbo installed in his head. Besides he's not to bad a fighter considering he used to lead a group of demon slayers in LA.

Spike (Britain) Seeing as how Spike's backstory isn't too complicated I see no reason why he can't join the cast he would be the fighter and would bring experience and an understanding of most of the supernatural workings of the world.

Gwen(TBD) Seeing as how she isn't really well known she would be a good choice for a female lead. She would also be good for spy type missions. And as a potential love intrest for Gunn or Spike.

Add a few new characters to the main cast maybe a witch and a robot to even the supernatural and sci-fi elements of the buffyvers and show. And to add a few comedic elements to the series.
