View Full Version : Submitting work to Marvel
I was at the official marvel site and happened upon their submissions page (http://www.marvel.com/about/submissions_guide/). I looked but I couldn't find anything regarding age. Would they accept any submissions from a young person? Do you have to be over a certain age to even qualify for a job? Not necessarily that I would submit anything, I was just wondering if I could.

I'm not sure. I'm trying to come up with an idea to submit to Image. I read from the lastest issue of Wizard that Image is open for submitions. I have my idea but I don't know how to write it out!

I think you would atleast have to be 21 years old.

Howdy,
I think you'll have to at least be employable before you can submit to them, meaning you have to be able to get working papers if you're under 18, at least back when I was a young'un when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. You can always try to e-mail them and ask. It'll also be a trial balloon to see how their submissions are handled. If they never answer you, I wouldn't hold out much hope for your submission getting much attention.
My one tip of advice is to skip the flagship characters (Spidey, the X-Men, and the Punisher, for starters). There are existing, proven pros who'd hock their grandmothers to work on projects with those characters, and Marvel can have the pick of the litter there. They're not going to trust the keys to the kingdom to someone completely unproven, no matter how good your proposal is.
