It would be pretty funny if they put them in the background in an ep. or two, in non-speaking roles of course. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that at some point.

That would be hilarious! Good idea!

I doubt it... the creators have an intense hatred of Superfriends.

Okay. Tell me something, I never watched the Superfriends, so I'm wondering who were Wendy, Marvin and Wonderdog?
Plus if Marv and Wendy didn't have any powers why would they be involved in the Justice League?
Also which was worst, the Zan, Jan and the darn mokey (form of water anyone?) or Wendy, Marv and Wonderdog?

Oh, that's a close race there. I'd say Marvin, Wendy, and "the Scooby of the Superfriends" were worse. Marvin was a complete dork... although seeing them in the background of one of the new JL shows would be cool...

Well, Marv and Wendy were so obviously just comedy relief that I can't really hold it against them. So I guess I prefer them, though that's like saying I prefer dental work to major abdominal surgey. :D

Those teen age heroes and their dogs were the worst things about that series. Why they weren't killed in battle is beyond me...

Anybody ever happen to notice how Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog were always accidently saving the day...or did you ever notice how they were always getting into trouble? Their bodies had magnetism that attracted trouble! I don't know why those annoying brats were always hanging around the Super Friends, and Wonder Dog made facial expressions and hand gestures that aren't actually possible for a dog to make in real life. But at least Wonder Dog couldn't talk...that would be WWWAAAAYYY to stupid. I know this has nothing to do with what I was just talking about but I can't wait to see Smallville tonight. Anyway, I definitly agree with flhero311 about the Wonder Twins and Gleek being better than Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog...let's face it, the three of them reek with a detestable odor! Definitly the stupidest thing about that show...in the comics, there was that annoying Snapper Carr guy, and on Super Friends there was "The Trio Of Dorks." When the Wonder Twins were introduced it was a definite improvement. Although I could have lived without Gleek. Didn't Paul Dini create Gleek? I could be wrong. Anyway, as far as Super Friends sidekicks are concerned, I really liked Captain Mystery from the episode "The Mask Of Mystery." That episode was hilarious!! I think it would be kind of neat if Marvin, Wendy and Wonder Dog were shown in the background of an episode, or as just inocent bystanders watching the Justice League duke it out with a supervillain or something.

Probably because there were no battles, remember? It was just the Superfriends fighting pollution or guys in weird costumes who made monsters out of rubber.
That was the most interesting thing about Superfriends, when you get right down to it. It was a controlled experiment in seeing how you could do an action show that contained no action.

You think that a mad doctor dumping Itchy Acid into the ocean to get Aquaman isn't action? Do you know the hives that you get from that stuff?!?
Ya know with all the times we've said we hate the characters, Im starting to like them in a pathetic kind of way. lol. Zan and Jan were ok, but Marv and Wendy were horrid characters with annoying voices even, and just were there to fumble things up. Without them, maybe it would have been a better show, with real villains and real storylines like the comics, rather than a cliched show of the 70's and 80's. But I still love the toons for some reason, as do many. I dunno why, its just a weird conspiracy.

There is definitely a camp appeal to the Superfriends. If you're able to sit back and joke about how lame it is, it can be very enjoyable. Try to take it seriously and your brain will explode.

Dini and Timm HATE the original Superfriends? GOOD. The original Superfriends was a travesty, a pathetic attempt to make good of the DC Universe. Can you imagine how many MORE Dini/Timm DC fans there would be if it wasn't for all the bad p.r. that Superfriends gave two whole generations of Americans and Canadians in the 1970's and 1980's?
And I don't want to see Wendy, Marvin, Zan, Jan, or talking animals! Please! Not even as a joke! And leave out Plastic Man too. I've never liked that character either -- he adds too much slapstick humor into what would otherwise be an awesome action show.
I'm going to watch Batman/Superman "World's Finest" and Batman Beyond "The Call" to get revved up for Saturday's premiere of Justice League! :)
