remember that trend thaty swept animation in the early 90's and late 80's where the minaturized all those old cartoons. Like the Flintstone kids and Tom and Jerry Kids and all those? Well which ones where the worst. I think we all can agree that Tiny Toons was the best, but oh well.

I was never to fond of the Tom and Jerry kids personally.

Frankly I hate them all, because they all have the same basic reason for being. But I'd probably go with hating Tom and Jerry Kids too, although the beginning theme was kinda catchy.

::starts singing:: Tom and Jerry kids... Bah.

The Flintstone kids sucked the most. They didn't really "cutify" the Flintstones much, either.
Then again, there's also A Pup Named Scooby-Doo...(shudders)

Thank goodness TTA was around to save the day! :D

TTA was pretty good, and I think that early Muppet Babies was good too. Though I haven't seen Muppet Babies in years, it was as imaginative as heck, and you had to love all of the live action movie clips, as well as some great parodies.

Pup named Scooby isn't so bad. I really don't like the flood of Scooby on CN, but Pup is better than most of the other Scooby spin-offs and manages to parody the original. You could definitely argue that it was better than the original.

T&J kids is pretty poor, from what little I've seen. I can't remember Flintstone kids much, but from I remember of my opinion & experience of it, I'd place it a little above T&J.

I dunno about this trend. I didn't watch many cartoons in the early 90s. I was too busy reading "Little Archie" comics...;)

i loved muppet babies, a pup named scooby-doo, and tiny toon adventures. i dont think i ever saw tom and jerry kids and too few flintstones kids to remember. i know there were more miniture cartoons, hmmm.

but tiny toons was by far the best.

Those three Derek mentioned were pretty much the only good "miniaturized" shows.

But the worst, by far, would have to be.... Yo, Yogi. Turned 'em into teenagers, and had them running around Jellystone Mall. Hanna-Barbara's so embarassed by this that the company doesn't acknowledge it exists.

TTA and muppet babies were pretty much the only good ones....

Tom and jery kids always made me hide under my bed....

Flinstone kids... *shudder*

A pup named scooby doo isn't so bad i can tolerate to watch it more than the original... that's just because i've seen every episode of the original a hundred thousand times and can quote the entire series...

The only ones I've ever really watched were the Muppet Babies and TTA. I really like both those shows a lot, some of my favorite cartoon series that I watched when I was little. I haven't seen either in years though....:( I'd love to see them again. I think I liked Muppet Babies a little bit more, just because I've always loved the Muppets.:)

I may have watched some of the other "minature" cartoons, but none of them were bad or good enough for me to remember them...

I'm glad to hear that others like "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo" as well. I think you all already know that I like that one. I was a mupped babies fan too; when I was a little, little kid. Tiny Toons was inspired, of corse. I don't remember T&J Kids being all that horrible. I remember being rather indifferent toward it. I guess I was still a small child and since I liked Tom & Jerry, I liked T&J Kids by association.

I wonder if some people thing Dragon Ball is DBZ kiddiefied? Though, DB came first and is a better show, overall.

I'd say one of the worst kiddiefied thing is "Episode 1: TPM." BABY VADER!:D

I seem to remember an interview some years back with someone high up at H-B who very much disliked "Yo, Yogi!"- describing its version as Yogi as being a "whore-monger"

I don't mind the "Pup Called Scooby Doo"... catchy theme song and actual personalities showing up, at least...

i agree, rocketshipper, i always said "a pup named scooby-doo" gave a shot at developing the gang's personalities, even if they were shallow and simple cartoon stereotypes.

i liked how they made freddy a kind of mulder like character, who reads the tabloids and beleives in conspiracys and monster, and stuff like that. he didnt even have a personality in the orignal scooby doo.

daphnie became a flaky, pretty, valley girl. well, she was always the sex symbol of the show.

velma became, well, she was always the nerd, but she became a cute nerd and even more of a brainiac.

scooby and shaggy- they stayed basically the same.

yeah, i always liked that show, and the theme song kicks. its shway! peace.

Tom and Jerry Kids, A Pup Named Scooby, and Flintstones Kids are all bad. Period...

Wow. And here I thought that was just your opinion.

I definitely think TTA was the highlight of the genre and it certainly was the only one I remotely followed, tho'
