Wow, this is something that doesn't happen every day. I was watching 24 when my dad told me about it, and I did get to see part of the ending. Those last two strikeouts were sweet. After the game they showed all 27 of the Braves' outs, and I must say that the D'Backs had some good defensive work, but Randy Johnson's pitching skills really were important.

I really do applaud the Braves fans too. They wanted their team to get a hit (or even a walk just to stop it), but after it was done they still gave Randy a great standing ovation and cheered him for stopping such a good offensive team.

I thought Randy Johnson would be a first-ballot Hall of Famer in his first year of eligibility - I've got a feeling that's definitely happen now when it happens five years after his retirement. Way to go Randy!

Wow. I had the game on the radio from the start till about the fourth inning. After that I was stuck in my chair watching the TV for the rest of the game. Far and away the best pitching I've ever seen, but I've only been a big fan since 1998.

As for the Braves fans, they were rooting for their team to break it up most of the game, but in the eighth and ninth they were 100% behind Randy. It was really awesome to watch. I hope this will get the D'Backs off the horrible run they've been having.

Man alive, that was quite a moment last night. I was flipping through the channels, when I caught the crawl on ESPN2 during the NHL Playoff game. I turned in for the final two outs, and was just amazed.

Congrats to you, Mr. Johnson. You have officially cemented your place in the Hall of Fame.

It's really remarkable. A perfect game is one of the rarest events in any sport. It was only the 17th perfect game in major league history, which stretches back over 100 years and tens of thousands of games! Fuuny thing is, this will only increase speculation that Arizona will trade Randy. They could get even more for him now.

Man, the Braves are a joke now. First, they get 7 errors and are losing by 10 runs to the Mets in one game, then they got struck out 18 times by Milwaukee, and then now their own fans turn on them and they get perfect game'd.

Good job, Randy Johnson.

Hmm, I have to say I was pretty surprised to hear that Randy Johnson was able to do it. I didn't see the game, but i caught the highlights on Sportscenter, that is just amazing, I'm sure they're probably already showing it on ESPN Classic.

I remember hearing about when David Cone and David Wells did it for the Yankees in successive years, hard to believe it's been about 6 years since that.

Also that RJ is now the oldest pitcher to throw a perfect game, before him it was Cy Young at 37 i believe.

I liked all the honest comments RJ gave at the news conference after, he's a nice guy, very modest.
