Another Gargoyles talkback! Hooray!
Gargoyles "Protection"
Something is wrong woth Elisa. She's been taking bribes, intimidating witnesses, and wearing trashy clothes. Is she on the take? Or is she trying to take down Anthony Dracon once and for all?
If the episode has aired on ABC Family it's fair game. If it hasn't SPOILER BOXES!
You know the drill.

Didn't like it. I'm not a fan of Dracon as a villain (though Richard Greico does a good job voicing him) and there was no doubt that Elisa was actually undercover and not corrupt. I found it kind of funny that the gangsters kept knocking over the same row of cans whenever they bothered the store Matt was staking out. They must not have liked canned beets.

Eliza in her "evil" uniform was H-O-T! Of course, this episode had a lame plot, a lot of Eliza's actions didn't even make sense. I liked Broadway's cheesy gangster movie quotes (lettuce).
I wonder why they give any Matt Bluestone episodes nice animation, yet action heavy episodes get weaker animation? Seem back-asswards to me.

Personally, I like this episode, it was not great, but good.

Not my fave but Goliath and Broadway horning in on Elisa's racket was funny. I love how shocked Dracon was when Elisa gave them a dressing down. He was both impressed and sowing the seeds for how he could use this information to his advantage. Good, not great. ***.
The episode already got 3 1/2 stars just for Elisa's outfit (bare mid-driff rocks), and another star for Broadway's cheesy lines, even if he & Goliath can't act.
A good line for when Goliath was trying to convince Drecon to team up would have been, "We assured this city protection. We didn't say how."

Not my favorite, but it's nice to have an episode once in awhile that you don't have to try to connect to other episodes. COntinuty is one of my favorite things about Gargoyles, but every once in awhile it's nice to have a little break from strict continity. Bah, no Xanatos though.

It's the 1st use of Jalapena, the ending says it all.

Is it wrong I enjoyed this episode more than the entire City of Stone arc?

The funny thing is that Greg worked that in on a dare.

Fun, but with glaring plot holes and leaps in logic.
