Hmmm... Two weeks in a row without a talkback... Well, let's see if we can't kick-start something here...

Anyway, today's episode was "Terror From the Sky"

Synopsis: A meteor crashes near a small motel & truck stop in the Alberta Badlands. When the owner goes to investigate something swoops down and he disappears. Meanwhile at Torrington Academy a chance collision with Jenny, the most popular girl at school leaves her lipstick on Martin's cheek and him convinced she's fallen for him.

I suppose my first impression is it's an interesting show... Kind of like "Totally Spies! meets MIB, with a little bit of Scooby Doo thrown in for good measure". As far as the plot was concerned, it was... all right. Not bad, but not too original, either. Martin, I guess normally would be somewhat of an original character, but considering he seems to be more or less a male Clover (from Totally Spies!), and considering it's also a Marathon production, not really a lot of originality there, either.

I guess that's it for right now... Not a very memorable episode...

You forgot the poll.

Just a question: did the version of MM on the FoxBox ever state that the show was in Canada?

Actually, I didn't. Since it's only on once a week, I decided people can just say whether the episode was good, bad, or whatever else they want. In any case, I only plan to be temporarily in charge of the talkbacks. A lot of the mods here like to be in charge of talkbacks for the different forums they moderate, and I can respect that. I guess I'm just letting them subtly know that right now, Martin Mystery is a topic of conversation here... ;)

Not to my knowledge, but I did miss the first episode, so it might have mentioned it then...

I think I like the premiere ep better, but this one is OK. Though I wondered how the captured knew how to get out of the pods and why were there a lot of empty intact pods (assuming the pods have to be broken before the bugs could eat, so it seems nobody else was eaten).

That's why I said it's silly like Scooby Doo and have cute interactions like Totatlly Spies. It's dubbed by Ocean Studios too, so they're used to the anime expressions.

Though I gotta say, some scenes were bordering on "sexy" for SatAM network TV. But then, the Europeans don't care about that neither. You can see it in their cartoons: "if you've got it, flaunt it." :anime:
(American kids animation is very careful about that. Yes, sometimes they show a chara "has got it," but the animators do not "flaunt it.")

Sorry about that. :)Not to my knowledge, but I did miss the first episode, so it might have mentioned it then... :shrug:Well, on YTV every episode says where the agents are going (in the form of both MOM saying it and it is written at the bottom of the screen), and that Diana and Martin go to Torrington, in Quebec.
