Don't know if this has happened to anybody else but when I click on Toon Zone's homepage and try to scroll to forums the flash animation ad blocks me from getting into them. I had to do an end run around World's Finest to finally log in!

Nope. It's not just you. But it's going to take me a couple of days to fix it. Apologies for any inconvenience in the interim.

It should be fixed now, in IE and Mozilla at least.

Every time the Cartoon Smart Ad is on the screen, it takes forever for the page to load. Sometimes it won't even do it at all. It's spam and the first time I've seen such a problematic ad on this forum.

What kind of browser and operating system are you using? Do you have problems on other pages that use Flash (like the CN forum (http://forums.toonzone.net/forumdisplay.php?f=51))?

It's an advertisement -- the most popular we've ever run in fact -- and it helps ensure the continued existence of this site.

No other flash problems. Just that ad.
I'll try to see if there's something wrong with my windows 98. Or my Netzero for that matter. (Yes, I'm poor.):p

Windows 98? Wow. It might just be that your computer isn't powerful enough to run a continuously-animated Flash element.

Probably. I still don't understand why just because I can't afford a more expensive windows this site should stop working properly. That's not fair.:(

I don't care much for flash myself. Luckily it installs and uninstall quickly. Keep the files on your hard drive and use 'em as you need 'em.
To get an installer that will save to disk, go to http://download.com (http://download.com/) and search for 'flash'
The uninstaller can be found at http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/playerfaq.htm
The only problem is you may get annoying pop-ups asking you to install and when you uninstall it may require a restart of your browser.
This site may help.

What I don't get is that the "Braceface" ad doesn't slow me down at all but the Cartoon Smart ad jams my computer. Is there any different between the two animated ads? And couldn't the makers of the ad make it so it won't jam anybody's computer?
