The local TV insert in the paper today has an article about June Bugs, written by Mark McGuire of the "Albany times Union'. It has an interesting picture of the evolution of Bugs Bunny, and I agree with him. He praises the idea of showing 176 Bugs cartoons, but, finally someone thinking here: ""The Cartoon Network's heart is in the right place, but it's out of its collective head to edit an unparalelled collectionof work by the most important character in its library, Bugs Bunny." Yes! and then he continues to bash CN for trying to tamper with a historical document....and get this: "The desire to protect kids is noble....hoowever, the network is missing an invaluable opportunity to educate adults and older youths alike to the different mores that existed in entertainment and life in general over a half-century ago." YES! Smart journalist! And get this, this little TV schedule insert files the marathon under Friday's....BEST BETS!
