Halo 2 is coming November 9th. Screens (http://www.bungie.net/Games/Halo2/Gallery.aspx?Gallery=Screenshots&page=3), a hands-on report from IGN (http://xbox.ign.com/articles/513/513152p1.html), limited edition packaging (http://www.bungie.net/News/Story.aspx?link=5B522E9E-A265-409E-9267-EB2EDCFD50B4), videos from the demo (http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox/472/Halo-2)...
Also announced was Forza Motorsport (http://www.xbox.com/en-us/forza/default.htm) (info and trailer on that page). Look at this screenshot (http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/2004/screen0/920720_20040510_screen003.jpg)...wow!
EA is coming to XBox Live, starting with NCAA Football 2005. NBA Live 2005, FIFA Soccer 2005, NHL 2005, NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005, Burnout 3, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, Need for Speed Underground 2, and Battlefield: Modern Combat are among the 15 that'll be Live-enabled before the year's out.
XBox Live will also have an arcade series (http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/05/10/news_6097024.html) where you can play classic arcade games, board games, card games, trivia, etc.
You'll also be able to use a webcam with XBox Live to chat with friends and do video conferencing.
They also showed videos of Star Wars: Republic Commando (http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/566/566821/vids_1.html), Jade Empire, Halo 2, Conker (http://www.xbox.com/en-us/xboxtv/default.htm?t=4259&v=84510&bw=hi), and a bunch of others.

Conker's getting pushed back to March 2005. :(
But it sounds like it will be worth it, for all they're doing with it, including a 16-player campaign mode! Wow!
At least I have Republic Commando news to be excited about this year. So many games great to be excited about. After E3, we'll have to start "What releases are you looking forward to in 2004" threads. :D

Halo 2 is coming November 9th. Says who? If that's Bungies date, then perhaps I'll put some stock in it.
Not that November 9th is a bad date. In fact, it's pretty darn good. Johnny & I have our birthday on 11.9, and that would make a fun gift for us to give each other. :D

Says who? If that's Bungies date, then perhaps I'll put some stock in it. This was the Microsoft press conference, but according to IGN, Microsoft VP Peter Moore had the date tattooed on his bicep.

Sounds cool. I might have to download some of that.

Thanks for the source info, Adam & Ein.
(And apologies, as my wording came over less than friendly. It really wasn't a challange, more to the point, suspicion of another inaccurate date.)
Microsoft VP Peter Moore had the date tattooed on his bicep. ha! Nice.

Halo 2 is looking slick. But, well, I expected it to look slick. So...yeah.
The EA-Live thing is HUUUGE news. I'm looking forward to playing Burnout 3 online. It's gonna be absolutely great.
I don't know if this is really E3 news but all that online Street Fighter sounds really, really great.
I'm not exactly up to date on everything E3 this year and it seems most of the attention so far has been directed toward the DS and new Zelda. I'll research more before I say anything else.

Microsoft VP Peter Moore had the date tattooed on his bicep.
Now won't that be embarassing if the game gets pushed back some more:D
Any solid release dates for

The DOA Ultimate E3 trailer on gametrailers.com is pretty sweet- parts of it were taken directly from the PS2 DOA2 intro (such as Kasumi's sword demonstration) with higher res graphics and newer character models. Best part: Tina throwing Bass into the elephant's leg, which stands up in a fright. :D

DOA Ultimate looks nice. Halo 2 date is nicer. Am I the only one who thinks Conker's new looks is kinda ugly? The whole fur thing dosn't really suit him. He's just less cute, which was some of the fun to see some cute little squirl swear and get hammered.

You can officially add me to the list of people who are interested in DOA Ultimate (although I may either rent it first or get it for my birthday, considering some of the games coming out in the fall).

Our talkback is so quiet compared to the others. It's all the >>BLISS<< we X-box users enjoy. We need a handheld or something else to fight about. :anime:
Good to see more on Conker: Live & Reloaded, however I was disappointed there was nothing on Perfect Dark Zero (I wonder if Rare is even still making that game).

Well, when you put out new images of Joanna Dark that look like next generation models, people start to think things.
Anyway, I haven't seen the Sony conference all the way through, but I have seen the Xbox and Nintendo one, and being that I am not one to get excited about handhelds (either DS or PSP), I think the Xbox conference wins hands down this year. Xbox Live seems to only be getting better and better, the games they have this year and for 2005 are fabulous, and I really think that the next-next generation will be Microsoft's. Oh, and just a side note before I continue, Conker L&R looks like the most gorgeous game ever, and the graphics are STILL not completely rendered. The game will look and sound even better...that's freaking unreal.
Let's not forget something immensly important. Microsoft is neck and neck for #2 with GameCube and they are getting HUGELY shafted on the Japanese support side. I think that is rather impressive, and when they correct some of the mistakes they made with the Xbox and bring over Xbox Live to the future generation, I think they are gonna be neck and neck with Sony for the lead.

The XBOX put on the best show of any console at E3 in my opinion.
Playable Doom 3, Mech assault 2, Burnout 3, KOTOR 2, Jade Empire, Conkers, Sudeki, Fable, Kameo, Outrun 2, TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, Otogi 2 and not to mention all the EA online stuff.

Oh yeah

I forgot about that. If I ever get the chance, I wouldnt mind playing PD0 with characters looking like that. I always thought her in-game model in the N64 version looked like Rikki Lake...

Although I'm sure Rare would never admit to this so soon, at least not until the system itself is announced, I am basically convinced that Perfect Dark Zero's absence from this year's E3 means that it will not be coming out for Xbox.
It will instead be a launch game for the Xbox 2. Now, this makes sense to me for a few reasons. Number one, having a Rare sequel to a pretty popular first person shooter on the N64, and finally having a Rare game along the lines of GE and PD again will create interest in the game and will help sell systems. Number two, having a game like this with a huge online capacity, perhaps pitting spies versus aliens, spies versus spies, etc in an environment that is huge and all that good stuff will help bring more people into Xbox Live in the next-next generation. Number three, having Perfect Dark Zero on the Xbox 1 would be a good idea, but Microsoft already has its killer FPS on the system...its called Halo 2. And number four, having Rare make the killer FPS app for launch gives Bungie the time to make Halo 3 on its own schedule, not having to rush it for launch.
So, using all of this logic, not only do I think it will happen, but I think its a good idea. I mean, imagine the graphics of that Joanna Dark in an even more beautiful environment. And if you doubt Rare's ability due to their work of late, look at Conker Live and Reloaded videos of the single player mode. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Given a more powerful system and since they probably have a good idea of the storyline, characters, multiplayer option ideas and all that, they can start early on PD0 for the Next Box and absolutely destroy our minds.
Only 1 thing to say really:
Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2Halo2!
Also, dude, I don't know if you know, but Bungie announced over a year ago that there won't be a Halo 3.
HMK
The story will be all wrapped up by the end of Halo 2.

Perhaps it's time to un-sticky the E3 talkbacks? :D
