Just a shout-out to all those mothers out there on this special day. :)
Just to give this topic more of a reason to be, what did other people here do for Mother's Day? Or for any people on the board that are mothers themselves, how did your day go? Me and the rest of my family gave my mom a couple of cards and took her out for brunch.

Happy Mother's Day!
Remember, they brought you into this world....and they can sure as heck take you out of it!
My mom, sis, bro-in-law and grandmother are all going out to our favorite chinese restaurant.
My sis and I got my mom two gifts. One if a tile with a picture of my dad, sis and me imprinted onto it...it's part of a 6 x 6 wooden box. Inside the box we got her a Boyds Bear figurine, she loves those things and it always makes for an easy gift to get her. It's two little bears going bargain shopping, it's a new one so my mom hasn't seen it yet. Normally she just tells me which one to get her, lol, but she'll be surprised with this one!

Happy Mother's Day!
I, personally, got my mom a card with some fun mom-related stickers. My sister went all out and made a gift basket and bought my mom cinnamon rolls because she asked for them.

It's a little hard to think about Mother's Day with the fact my mom passed away from congestive heart failure just over a month ago. http://freeconservatives.com/smiley/Smiles_files/sad4.gif
But last year, we took her out to a dim sum brunch at a local restaurant and she really liked it.

I got my mom Season one of Sex and the City on DvD, which is good because she loves the show coughcoughandsodoicoughcough but missed the first season. But besides that today was a rather... let's call it odd mother's day.
My sister and I got together with Mom to go shopping for some things she wanted for her bedroom; she's redecorating. We paid for a pillow sham that she saw and liked. I also got Mom a DVD of The Bodyguard (one of her favourite movies) for her to enjoy on the new TV she got last week.
After we finished at the store, we went to visit Nana (our grandmother). Our aunt was there, along with her boyfriend and her son, Greg. It was his birthday this weekend, and we had cake to celebrate. :)

I wish I could be rotting in a dorm...My family all pitched in and bought my mother a diamond necklace and then we all went out to eat at Sakura.

My mom and sister went to this bahamas food restaurant, and then we watched some TV until the weather got bad and we had to leave.

My parents were gunned down in an airport terminal.

As usual, my cheap self made a card for my mother, via a Google image search for Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Enterprise. It's a humorous commentary on the state of modern television... well, it's views that she shares also, that's what makes it a Mother's Day present.
I could've mailed it home, but since they're coming to pick me up from college on Tuesday, it'd be faster to just give it to her in person.

I think everyday should be mother's day.It doesn't make sense to only show our appreciation for her in one day out of the whole 365 days, while she is our mother 365 days. It's kinda stupid really...
