(For those who don't know, Newbury Comics is a popular Music/DVD/Comic retail store in New England)
Wow that is just sad. Every location I've been to now has a heavy selection of bootlegged anime DVD's like season packs of One Piece or Trigun. Is there any way we can stop them from doing this before they get into any trouble?

Get a large group of anime fans together, and tell them to stop.

Report them to the Companies and the Law

I could write to Bandai, Viz, and Funi, but the rest I've seen are not even licenced here. What about those?

You do that and my sister will be VERY angry. It's where she gets all her music.
And so will I. They're the only place I can find comics by Evan Dorkin.

If anything they would be fined and have to stop selling the bootlegs. I doubt they would shut the whole store down.

Because everyone must fear the wrath of you and your sister..
If they're selling Bootleg DVDs, the CDs are most likely boots as well..
But anyway, Report all Licensed Material to the property holders.. report the unlicensed stuff to the Studios (TOEI, Gainax, Perriot, Madhouse)... and your local Sherrif's office..

Hey I'm doing them a favor.
If I point this out now and not a few years down the road, then they will probally loose a lot of money and most of their locations will close down because of some lawsuit issues. All they have to do is stop ordering from the source they got them from, point these jokers out, and the company that produced the bootlegs will get a huge lawsuit put against them. Not Newbury.

Oh. Right. Phew. Never mind.
I forgot you go to Newbury comics regularly. Sorry.
