I encourage all of you to sign it, tell your friends about it, and show how high in demand BTAS on DVD can be. I signed it... did you? It's on the news page if you haven't seen it yet.

I signed it, and I posted a link on my Yahoo! Club. I'm trying to get as many people as I can to sign it...

I signed it. I'm really hoping Warners listens...but remember how they said sales figures are the strongest message? I'm betting that SubZero, ROTJ and Batman/Superman will be released before ANY TAS stuff. So, I advise everyone to BUY BUY BUY those discs!

You better believed I did it! I was #9 who signed. I really encourage spreading ther word around. I plan to email alot of "big" sites today in hopes they'll do the same.

Last I checked, that petition jumped from 70 to 105 within 15 minutes... keep those signatures coming everyone. Every signature shows how strong the BTAS fan base is.

Tomorrow is should hopefully see a huge jump. I'm going to be emailing site slike COMICS2FILM, AINT-IT-COOL-NEWS, DARK HORIZONS, and a few others so hopefully this can get around. Imagine if it got to 10,000 signatures...

I signed it about 10 minutes ago, and it was up to 123. I also put the text up on the main page of my website, with a link to the petition itself. That's my little contribution. ;)

I signed 5 seconds ago, im #175, and I just put the link on dccomics.com!~

If this goes the way the ROTJ un cut petition did, well have thousands by the end of th week

James Harvey
10-25-2001, 05:53 PM
The ROTJ Uncut petition that WF did garnered an amazing 2500 signatures, and there were three or four other petitions as well. I guess WB paid attention to these. Hopefully we'll see the link for this petition spread like wildfire throughout the net...

I signed it a while ago. I think I was #119.

The ROTJ petition I saw had almost 20, 000 sigs on it.

Yes, I am serious,

I would post the link, but when i posted it on the D C Boards that 'refresh' thing kept coming up

I signed it! I was 192, that was about five minutes ago. Right this very second it's at....195! And it was put up, what? Today? There's gotta be a lot more coming.

Beyond Batman

Alright! 250! How high do you think this may reach? Any bets? hehehe... j/k.

James Harvey

It's up to 271 now. I plan to do some more emailing in hopes of attracting some attention with the thing. Out of the 600 hits that news story has gotten, barely half have signed it. I would really like this thing to be huge!

Bird Boy

279 w/ my signature...

so what'd you guys put down for "What are your feelings of these "best of" sets?"

I put down "they suck hard"... :D

When I signed yesterday there was, like, nobody else who did. Imagine my surprise when I checked today and found over 250 people had signed up too! We'll have enough signatures in no time.

(I'm a little embarrassed that I forgot that Nightmare Before Christmas was a Disney flick though. Most of Burton's other films are Warner Brothers...).

I signed it. I really think that they should make the whole season sets. But nobody knows what my "best" episode is nor do they know any of yours.

James Harvey

Seasons sets are a good idea, but the ifrts seaosn may end up being real costly. I like the idea of having sets, but having the eps in production/chonological order. That'd be better, perhaps.

I signed it just now, as soon as I saw it! #743, I think. Great idea, whoever started it! WB NEED to see this bad boy :)

James Harvey
10-26-2001, 10:03 PM
I'm guessing that it will reach 1000 by tonite. Hopefully word of mouth will push this thing along. I'd love to see WB's reaction to this.

Yeah, I signed it too right after reading DG's post. I can't remember what number though so you'll have to take my word for it. ;)

Wow, Bobby and DG, if ROTJ got that many sigs then I hope that BTAS will get similar numbers.

Beyond Batman
10-27-2001, 04:29 AM
Wow, 1048 within two days... not bad.... not bad at all. I can't imagine how high this may be by the end of next week. I hope the number sky rockets!

I posted a note on the He-Man.org forum board asking all those who love B:TAS, like B:TAS or just feel our pain (He-Man and She-Ra haven't come to DVD yet and it doesn't look too promising) to visit the news page and sign. Am I allowed to do this sort of thing or .....should I have run it past you moderator people first?? Sorry if I broke any rules, I just wanted to help with the word of mouth thing....

James Harvey
10-27-2001, 11:43 PM
Thats totally fine. You can give the direct link to the petition or to the newspage, I suppose. I've been passing along to a smany people as I can...

Joker85

Geez, with over 1300 signatures, you would think that WB would definitely put them in boxed season sets!! Oh, well, just have to wait and see.:)

I just signed it and it looks to be moving along fine. If WB paid attention to the ROTJoker petition, hopefully they will observe this one as well.

Been awhile since I've done my update...

1743!!!!!!!

I know this has been asked, but I'm lazy: How high did the ROTJ petition go?

James Harvey
10-30-2001, 11:12 AM
The WF ROTJ petiton hit around 3000. But there were at least 2 other ROTJ Petitions going around so it's hard to say how well they did. Musta been good if WB is actually giving us one...

Hey guys, just registered :) Im the guy that made the petition I'm glad to see how well its doing I never imagined it'd get this noticed!:D anyways I already sent a letter to the WB showing them just how quickly the petition's sigs were going up...still no response heh typical WB, I am hoping this at least raises their awarness of the hatred of "Best of Sets" maybe this'll help put an end to them once and for all :D

James Harvey
10-30-2001, 06:53 PM
Welcome to the boards! I really hope you stick around. And kudos for the petition. I've been trying to spread the word around as much as possible and I hope it goes through!

Cool. Any idea when the petition will get sent off to WB?

ZorBrak
11-25-2001, 12:02 AM
soon...but i think its too late OR they just dont care (Im thinking B since WB SUCKS when it comes to DVDs) word is they are releasing them in stupid theme packs and wil probably not release all of the episodes....too bad WB owns the rights to it....

Phishman
11-25-2001, 05:30 PM
It never hurts to try. I'm applaed that some DVD sites haven't noticed this petition whe they've noticed lesser ones. I thought that attention toward ssomething like this would please alot of animated fans. I really hope it makes a difference.

ZorBrak
11-26-2001, 07:39 PM
Ok I just remebred I think my petition may be closing either the end of novemebr or end of december I honestly dont remember when I set it to close, but I may just go ahead and mail it to WB who will no doubt not even give me the courtesy of a response...

Heck, man, it's worth a shot.

James Harvey
11-27-2001, 11:48 AM
Definatly. Any chance to let WB know there is a serious demand for these sets to be done right is worth a chance. Then again - they supposedly check these boards so they should already know...

kid_flash
11-27-2001, 10:08 PM
Funny, ain't it? They catch every post about downloads and such, but miss every one about DVDs and anything with the word "request." ;)

James Harvey
11-28-2001, 11:09 AM
They only catch those posts becuase it can supposedly hurt their business. Frankly, I don't see the pleasure of watching an episode on a computer so I wouldn't be worried, myself.

Oh...I signed the petition (in a vain effort to get the thread back on topic)
