View Full Version : Who hasn't changed their Avatar, and why?

With all the discussion of avatars I thought we should have a thread for people who haven't changed there avatars.
I haven't, and it isn't just out of laziness. I feel like my avatar is my face and body on this board. There's a good chance you'll remember my face, even if you don't remember my name. It just makes it more real to me.
So I'll just be getting used to someone's new "face" and they'll change it. I guess I need to get better at names. Oh well, I have friends that change their real life look that often, so I guess I should be used to it.

I was going to change to a different fox avatar (a cute furry fox curled up) but I'm too lazy maybe some day.

I like my avatar I see no reason to change it. Ya know what I mean?

Well, Bird Boy made this avatar for me and I like it. So I'll keep it. What Croc said about your avatar being your face on the board rings true for me too.

Don't worry about it Croc. You'll be seeing this "face" for the foreseeable future!

Well, i've only changed mine for the avatar contests. That old Optimal Optimus one is still my "indefinite" one.

I think I'd change it if I knew how to...well, that, and if I had the right programs to make a new avatar. My technical expertise catches up with me once more. :P
But more than that, I also like this avatar a lot, and it wouldn't seem the same to me if I had a new one, actually. So I think I'd keep it anyway.
Besides, it's very stylish! :D

That's what was holding me back. Then I figured it out last week and changed from Azbats to Lord Maul. And I just changed it again for the halloween avatar contest. After that, I'm not sure what avatar I'll have. I'll probably return to the Azrael Batman.

Cool. You guys will be easy to spot from now on!
DG, I'll always have your original avatar burned into my head, but I'll try get used to the new one. Is that a sarcastic expression on the new one?
Max, your's is one of the ones that I was thinking about when I said that. I totally recognize you because you've had that avatar for a while. Same with Tim Drake.

ive only had 2 avatars. this one was my original, then i changed it, then i changed it back for the retro avatar contest, and i have been too lazy to change it since. yep, laziness. but i like this avatar enough to put up w/ it untill my laziness subsides.

I'm a huge He-Man fan and wouldn't change it for the world. If I do change it, it will be for another avatar of He-Man. I wish I could make the one I have now more clear and not so blurry.

I really haven't come across anything that I like enough to switch with. My current avatar will have to stick until something else catches my eye. And, I like it, so that helps. I like the idea of a darker, madder Supes and my current one seems to portray that.

Man, I can't even remembe rmy original avatar. I know I have it saved somewheres. As for the smile int he avatar...I think it's maybe a smug one. Plus, the avatr comes from ome of the better scenes in SUB-ZERO.

It was right before Dick jumps the cop cars and the crashed semi while chasing Freeze on the motorcycle. As you can tell from his expression, he's just got a good "Robin jumping stuff on motorcycle" idea:D

That's the grab! It's a wicked scene, and one of my favorites. I stumble dupon it by accident at one of the really old Batman sites I used to visit and cherish.

Well, I only changed my avatar once, just cuz this looks bigger (And dare I say better?). It's going to stay, well, until my drawing skills improve and I come up with something better ;)

Yeah you might not want to disrupt the theme that your avatar and handle have going, but changing is cool sometimes. Me, I like simplicity above all else. And guys like Kal-El should NEVER EVER change their avatar! With that guys' avatar choice, and viewpoint of Superman itself, changing the avatar would be an udder crime!!!! :D lol
Oh!! Guess what! My first two avatars from way waaaaaay back when are being redone now, because I made them before I got Photoshop. BUT NOW I'm churning out avatarian beauty as quickly as Bird Boy can. He and I could have pistol showdowns at dawn. lemme tell ya. Anyway, the second one's done, I'm not sure about the first one yet. I might put it up just for a while to show people, and then put this one back (#3) because I just LOVE the way it shows me.
And apart from those three, I have two other awesome ones that my buddy Nass made me just cuz he happened to be bored one day. They're really great. I would have never thought of em! :)
look @ my avatar...why would I wanna change it?? :p
