Good news Canucks! YTV's airing all three parts of Starcrossed in one special presentation on Monday, May 17th from 6:00PM - 7:30PM. It's being hyped as a series finale instead of a season finale, so I hope this doesn't mean they won't get JLU sometime soon.

Get those VCRS ready...

Thanks for the heads-up, SimpleSimon. Gotta admit, I'm shocked. I thought for sure that YTV would be treating us to repeats up the wazoo after Wild Cards. This kinda takes the edge off of the fact that we haven't had ANY of Teen Titans season 2 yet (yo, YTV, where is it already?!?).

As for JLU, I have every confidence that YTV will be shrewd enough to pick it up.

Hmmm... what day? *checks vacation calendar* :p

..and again, the WB stands by their July DVD release.. while the rest of the world gets to see StarCrossed. Hey, I heard they just aird the 3 Parter StarCrossed on Neptune. Sweet!

I believe there's some rights/licensing issues involved, including that the US has to air episodes first or something (obviously they got around this for season 2). Canadian channels have been notriously slow for getting US animated programming.

YAY!

GO YTV!!! I'm so thrilled that I finally won't have to keep on dodging the spoilers anymore. May 17th it is :) Can't wait :)

I guess now would be a bad time to mention that Wondercon rumor that Starcrossed is purposely being pushed back past the DVD release date for the sole purpose of trying to sell DVDs.

At least when Canada airs it, I bet a lot of "internet individuals" will quickly lose any and all interest in WB's lame selling and scheduling tactics.

Sweet! We're getting it shown from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (as a movie) next Monday evening! Also, I am incredibly sorry if this has been posted before.

*Hopes it's widescreen*

Edit: Aha, so there was a topic. Sorry. ^^; Thanks for merging instead of making me look like an idiot by pointing it out.

YTV hasn't aired any of Justice League in widescreen, so I seriously doubt that they'll be airing Starcrossed in its original format.

I actually emailed YTV on this awhile back, and they said they air programs in the format given to them by their supplier. So CN, or whoever distributes JL internationally, only gives out fullscreen copies.

Can't believe I won't be around to catch this tonight....now's as good a time as any to learn how to program that VCR...

Saw it. Loved it. That is pretty much the best story of Justice League, ever. I don't know if they'll be able to top "Starcrossed" with Justice League Unlimited, but I hope to God they can.

This episode was as good as any of the top episodes of B:TAS -- that's how much I loved it.

Definitely. It was awesome how every Leaguer got a kick-ass moment to shine.

In a word: outstanding. I knew it was going to be good; I didn't expect it to be THIS good. Big ol' congrats to everybody responsible for this awesome rocker/shocker! What a way to close-out the show. I'm definitely going to be buying the dvd, just so I can enjoy this in widescreen. Until then. I'll just have to settle for re-watching the fullscreen version, oh, about a dozen more tim

You guys are so lucky. Well we in the US will see it in just 2 more weeks and thats still better then waiting for the dvd which we almost had to do. From the sounds of it I probbley be putting this on my top 5 JL list.

Loved it.

Supes and Jonn were a little short changed, but that's minor. In terms of power (if not character), they finally unleashed Diana. Batman got all the best lines (as usual); the writers did a nice job of making him effective without completely writing him as Batgod. The Hawkgirl loyalty issue was well-handled. And - as in "A Better World" - this looks like it's meant to be relevant to the great political issues of our time without being too preachy.

It'll be interesting to see how it's received in the States.

Best JL ep ever. Usually the show just feels stale and not very personal but this one was awesome, especially the part with the secret identities.

If next season is half as good as this I will be a permanent viewer.

I'm so glad I figured out the VCR last night :D

Just freakin amazing. And I'd seen all the spoilers too.

-Brutal fight scenes, Maxie wasn't kidding. The ending is like Savage Time x10. And GL looked like he'd need a plastic surgeon afterwards.

-Can't wait for this one in widescreen. There was a part where Supes was talking and his face was completely cut off.

-Where did J'onn get the idea to morph into that beast? Was that a Gordanian?

-Alfred. Haven't seen him used for more than dry wit since BTAS. His scenes in the epilogue were great.

-I think Savage Time still slightly beats this in terms of narrative structure and pacing, but then again it had at least 3 different plot threads to work with.

5 stars. How can Unlimited top this?

I taped it because I was working. I loved this episode. I wasn't a big JL fan before, but I'm a huge fan of it now. I hope the older episodes rerun before it's taken off the air.

Neatly wraps up the series as well as leading stright into the new look show.

Obviously the Hawkgirl/Green lantern dynamic is the focus, but also reflects the superman/batman, batman/wounder woman stuff nicely, as well as showing some nice stuff we have been asking for. (the secret identy scean is great, as is every thing with alfred in.)

Only real flaw is it ends on such a downer, you might want to have tissues.
