What is the name of the Warner cartoon where a cat is trying to catch a pill-popping, Frank Sinatra-type bird? I think it might be "Catch as Cats Can" (1947). A scene I remember is the cat getting caught as the bag in a vacuum cleaner and sucks some hot fireplace coal in his mouth! If it is CaCC, has it ever been shown on CN?

Yup, that is "Catch as Cats Can". For some reason it is rarely shown on CN. I know it aired once late last year on a special late night (3am) Bugs & Daffy with some other cartoons seldom shown on Cartoon Network (I believe a Speedy Gonzales short was also shown that night).

The other cartoons that were shown that night with CATCH AS CATS CAN were, I think, FROM HAND TO MOUSE and A FEATHER IN HIS HARE. The Tom and Jerry show that night was also rare, though I forgot what came on. I used to have this "rare cartoons night" on tape, but stupid me accidentally recorded over it! :mad:
