From the site-that-must-not-be-named, Hugo Strange is being voiced by Frank Gorshin. It's cool seeing him on a Batman-related show again, but is this really the best choice? Why couldn't he be the Riddler again? I loved the guy ho did Hugo's voice in Batman:TAS

Why couldn't he be the Riddler again?
Because he might actually want to try another role instead of doing the obvious.

Never thought they'd pull Hugo Strange for the new series. The thought that they're using more-obscure villains is somehow comforting.

I always wanted to have Hugo Strange to be in more episodes in BTAS or appear in TNBA.I wonder how The Batman is going to use him, maybe more than once.

Micheal Reeves wrote a brilliant Hugo script for Batman:TAS that I read on his site which bears much resemblence to the later last three issues of Batman Adventures. The network didn't like Hugo, so it never got made. Pity.

are there no secrets with that bloody website that cannot be named?! we won't see Hugo at least until the third season and yet they already have the character announced and in the open.

oh well. while i'm thinking about it, check out 12 Monkeys if you haven't seen it recently.

Awesome. I really like Frank Gorshin, he should do a fine job.

The answer to that is simple. I saw Frank in "Back to the Batcave", and he's aged quite a bit as has his voice. Unless you want The Riddler sounding like he's in his seventies, Frank wouldn't be the best choice these days.

Whether it's brilliant casting or not, I don't know...but it's always nice to see notable Bat-alumni returning to their stomping grounds and supplying a voice or two. :)

For all we know though, Hugo Strange may only be around for one episode in this show, too.

I saw him just last month performing "Say Goodnight Gracie" (his touring one-man show about George Burns) and he somehow looked and sounded a lot better than he did on Back to the Batcave. I was in the 2nd row, so I got a pretty good look at him. He looked really ill/old in Back to the Batcave...
