a very nice episode concerning fred. i especially liked the beginning when cordy and wesley were pretending to be buffy and angel and wesley says, "buffy, i love you so much i forgot to brood." hilarious! another thing was that when fred's mother was talking to cordy about the "alien" movies and she said something about the last "alien" movie that i forgot, but my point is that joss whedon wrote for "alien 4" which is an inside joke.

--expectng something entirely different? The way Fred ran from her folks, I expected them to be demon worshippers along the line of Wes' girlfriend (haven't seen her since last season; is he still with her? I mean, she befriended him during Angel's dark period and funded the crew--seems odd she'd just drop off the face of the planet). But they were just a down-home Texas couple ("There aren't too many fellas who wear eyeliner where we come from. Not for long, anyhow.") very concerned for their little girl. Once Fred got over her initial fear of...reintegrating?...I thought we'd lose her. But when she realized that the crew was in trouble, she demanded the cabbie turn around and go back to the hotel.
Creep moment: the severed head on the desk bulging with its unspeakable load.
Loved the way Angel looked all giddy when it came his turn to have his wounds tended to. Then again I'd be giddy too if I had a lass like Cordy patching me up.
And I have to concur with Cordy--I didn't think Lorne owned terrycloth either. Apparently he lives in/has a place in back of the club, as he's still there, though not too hasty to rebuild. All things considered I wonder why he doesn't relocate, though I suppose when one is green and horned renting a room at the Y isn't easy....

Yeah it was a pretty good episode, it reminded me a bit of the Buffy ep last year about Tara and her family. But I liked how Fred's family were just normal people who really cared about their daughter. The Wesley/Cordy moment was hilarious! I also liked when they were reminiscing about their parents and Wesley was talking about how bad his were without realizing it. I'd like to see a story involving Wes and his parents.

Wes and Virginia (i think that was her name) broke up about half way through the year. I think it was after he was shot, and she couldn't handle the reality of guns after living her whole life with magic.
I liked this episode. It was funny, but I want to see what next week's will be about...show those promos, WB!!

I thought it was a good and entertaining episode. So far the seasons off to a good start. One thing though, is it me or are the action scenes getting shorter each episode? It seems like most of them are over way too fast.
